Well, today was Eva's first day of preschool. We had a great morning, breakfast(bagel, cream cheese, mandarins and chocolate milk), brushed teeth washed face, got dressed; she even had time to watch some cartoons.
Daddy got to come too.
As we pulled up I was getting so excited and she was so excited, she could hardly contain herself. I guess the routine is to come in, hang up your coats and then wash your hands before you start playing with anything. She was a little timid with the washing the hands thing, she wanted me to help her(I live for these moments, Eva has been very independent for a long time).
So we did that and she sat right down and an activity that her teacher(Sara) had sat out.

She gave daddy and Ellie a kiss and then me another one(this was my 3rd I believe). Then I just stood by the door and said, "Bye Eva!" and she just waved bye with a huge smile.

Then I broke down in tears. Don't worry she didn't see me.
I cried all the way to the car and then pulled it together.
I was so excited all day but just seeing her with all the other kids and she's just so ready to be in school, she's so independent. It's hard on a mommy having an independent kid, I know she still needs me, and she'll always need me. I guess I'd rather her say, "See ya mom!" then cry about me leaving. I don't want some pansy kid. Anyway, she's my big girl now and I'm so happy for her. I know she'll do well. I love you Eva.
