Eva turns 4!

My little baby is a baby no more. She hasn't been a baby for a while but 4 is old. When you turn 4 it's right before 5 and when you have a 5 year old that's like a kid. I can still kind of pretend that Eva's not a kid even though she proves that she's a kid everyday. I know this may sound weird but I think you know what I mean.

Yesterday was also Eva's first day of Sunbeams! I didn't get a picture can you believe that?! We even had new late church and everything! But I did get a pic of her going to her very first primary activity so that kind of counts, except that she's not wearing the super cute dress that she wore yesterday.

So we all woke up at like 9:30am which was totally awesome and Jeremy and I walked into the girls' room to wish Eva a happy birthday and sing to her(she was really obsessed with the singing this year) and this is what we saw...well first she was semi smiling then she did this:

This is Eva in all of her glory when she wakes up in the morning. We asked her how old she was and she was soooo happy to tell/show us:

Then we let her open the little gift that we did have. Later we took her to a toy store(a very expensive toy store I might add that is totally over priced and only rich people can shop there but it is by far the coolest store in the world) and she picked out one thing. But until then I knew she'd want to open something so this is what I put together.
A princess balloon,

A cool dinosaur plate,

And a sweet princess crown that says, "happy birthday."

She liked it!

We usually have traditional birthday waffles but this year I heard Jeremy poking around the kitchen then he came upstairs and said, "Let's go to Shari's." and I was ecstatic b/c Eva actually asked if she could have the pancake face for breakfast the day before so it kind of all worked out. We all got ready really quick and were out the door by 10am!

Eva wanted to wear her crown b/c she wanted as many people as possible to acknowledge her birthday. I believe we sang to her a total of 4 times before we even made it to the restaurant. I love this face!

She gets sick of the flash after a while.
Anyway, we had fun at breakfast where we once again sang Happy Birthday and it was a great morning. After breakfast we went to the Toy Factory and Eva walked around and looked at everything and she told us a week before that she wanted a dragon, so we found a stuffed dragon and she was excited but it didn't seem like what she had in mind, so right before we left I double checked with her and made sure it's what she wanted and she saw a Chihuahua and had to have it, I triple made sure it's what she absolutely wanted and there was no doubt in her mind. So Eva got her puppy for her birthday and named him "Spitch" which is what she calls Stitch from Lilo&Stitch. I think she had a great morning.
