Friday Fantasy Shoe Day: Can you say Couture?

I thought this week I'd bring us back to the roots of fantasy shoe day and that is the fantasy element. I'm bringing it baby and I'm bringing...Couture! Let me hear you say it, COU-TURE! Yes, these shoes will not only be beautifuly crafted, elegant and HIGH fashion they will also be so out of your price range you can't imagine anyone spending that kind of money on a shoe of fashion. That's the point of Shoe Day! And I now present some of the hottest couture shoes that I could find:

Who doesn't love Dolce & Gabbana? Serioulsy is there anyone really out there going to admitt that they don't have a little couture piece of their heart that beats soley for D&G? I doubt it...if you think you are a non believer google D&G and pretend like money is no object...then you will know what I speak of. These are some of the most over done elegant evening shoes I have ever seen. Metallic leather in gold and silver, hot. Engraved with silver crystals...that's right crystals. A 5" arcylic heel with gold glitter detail and this ever so delicate ankle strap. Can you not imagine yourself with the perfect black dress sipping(non-alcoholic)cocktails and dancing the salsa with your man? Yeah that's what I thought, these are couture hot baby and yours for the small fee of $1433.95...I know you just spit with laughter on the screen...it's ok, it will wipe off.

Now for those of you who have hear the word Couture before but aren't 100% sure of what it means, here is the dictionary version: being, having, or suggesting the style, quality, etc., of a fashion designer; very fashionable: the couture look. It's pronounced : koo-too r. Now many couture things are not something that most people would necessarily wear or buy, it's a look a very high fashion look that some just don't understand. There are a few pairs of shoes in todays selection that I understand as couture but I don't understand the mass production of these shoes because no one in their right mind would really be caught dead in these OR if they were to wear them it would only be in the streets of New York...which in that case is totally acceptable. This whole explanation leads me to our next shoe by Giuseppe Zanotti. Made in Italy these furry boots have a leather upper and lining alond with a luxurious fur shaft...helloooo. Along with the buckle accent and 3 3/4" heel these Zanotti boots run $1152.95, that's on sale. Aren't you glad they are on sale? Or else they really wouldn't be a bargain at all.

I love these next shoes, these are my kind of couture, and extreme shoe that is wearable by all. This is a Roberto Cavalli design, yum. This is haircalf in a leopard print, satin lined sole, and metallic leather. And yes those are real Swarovoski crystals adoring this hot little T-strap. I love everything about this shoe, the look, colors I bet they feel amazing and bonus, they only have a 3 3/4" heel, yes! These Cavallis are $1283.95!

Onto Michael Kors, he may sound familiar from the popular reality show, Project Runway(I'm so addicted to this show). These gorgeous sandals are adorned with an encrusted broach detail with these beautiful rich colors playing off the gold metallic leather. The strap even has hidden elastic for extra comfort. These are a statement sandal, I think all feet would look amazing with these Kors sandals, they can adorn your feet at the bargain price of $658.95.

Ok this next shoe is why I love fashion. I love that fashion doesn't have to be boring, it's not just one thing, fashion is what you make it. I think these shoes are the best thing that has ever been made for feet! They are not only the most fun shoes but they are sexy! Most people wouldn't even notice that fish bones were lying on top of your foot, it's not what I noticed at first, I noticed the ribs of the fish and how hot that would look on a bare foot, so hot. This is another Giuseppe Zanotti design. It's not your everyday strappy heeled evening shoe. This is a statement piece. It's made with metal mesh and Swarovski crystals along with some suede and the rest is leather; these shoes are on a 4" heel too. I have to be honest if I had $853.95 to spare, you better believe I would so wear these to church on Sunday's. I love everything about this shoe, it's what couture fashion is all about...at least fot me it is.

Extra pic so you get the affect of how awesome your foot would look walking in these!

The bootie is hot, it's in and I don't get it. I think it's an ugly shoe, if I saw you wearing it I would assume you could pull it off, there are only so many thigns that even go with a booties, so you'd have to be wearing a pretty trendy outfit. These booties are at the top of the couture bootie ladder. These are a Taryn Rose design, their black suede and leather, they have a comfort sole and a nice 3" wedge heel. Now I personally wouldn't be caught dead in these or any other bootie for that matter but I don't judge you if you like them OR if you get them...I totally understand that not everyone will get the fish bone shoe, some couture is not for everyone...the bootie is not for me. Oh yeah, these are $795.

I'm ending with a Christian Lacroix. An amazing desginer and these shoes are the epitimy of couture. When you first look at them you may think, "Ugly...wierd...too much going on...etc." But when you stop and really take them in, they are really beautiful. There is so much detail wihtin this shoe it's truly a masterpiece. I relize that they look really busy but if you take it for what it is, it gives you a little fashion high. Well it gives me one. The leather mini flower like detail is so intricit and it's placed around the shoe in a very purposeful manner. The colors may be "loud" but they mean something to the man who designed it and to the person who will wear it. The ties and straps the pinstirpe lining, the covered heel and tassle ends. It's really gorgeous. The way this shoe looks from the front is gorgeous too.

So beautiful, the shoe is molded to make your foot look amazing, look at the way this sandal opens from the front, making you look long and slended...yes shoes can do that. This beautiful Lacroix, the epitamy of high fashion couture is $953.95. Beautifully crafted shoes.

I hope you all enjoyed couture week and maybe learned something new and learned to appreciate some of the eccentric nature of couture shoes.

Peace out.
