Hand Foot and Mouth Disease

Bleh, that's all I have to say about that.
The Saturday after Halloween Eva was complaining about a sore on her lip and I figured it was from eating too much candy so I told her no candy for a few days so it could clear up....
But to back track, the week(that's right, the week) before she was playing with on of her friends and the next day his mom told me he had hand-foot-and-mouth disease, she told me a little about it, signs, etc. So I went home and sanitized everything that I thought they played with. I thought I was home free.
So back to the Saturday after Halloween, so I told Eva to cool it on the candy. The next day was church and everything was fine, when we got home Eva said that her mouth really hurt, so I look at it again and there was a new sore and it was HUGE. I thought, "Oh, no." I grabbed her hands looking for spots and there were some on her hands!!! I knew she had it...then I thought about all the kids she just played with in nursery for the past 2 hours! So Eva had HFM disease and we took her to the Dr. to verify it and then went ahead and got her flu shot(she didn't even cry, she is so awesome!). The doctor assured me that my antibodies would protect Elle and, that Jeremy and I would not likely get it.
Well, Elle started getting the sores on her moth and all over her arms and legs...doctors lie.
And Jeremy thinks he has it too(I think it's in his head but, what do I know).
Anyway, Eva stayed home for a week from school and today is her first day back, she was sooo happy. Elle's spots are going aways and Jeremy is still complaining(big surprise).
I don't have any pics of them with it, there was just too much going on, these past few weeks have been insane. They both didn't have it as bad as I've seen in pics and neither one of them got a fever from it at all, they were both so good, no complaining here.

how sad!! I'm so sorry, that is really awful. Where does a illness like that come from? Glad everyone seems to be healing...hopefully Jeremy does too ;-)

Dang, I never heard of something like that before. Let's hope we don't get it here in Finland.
