Coloring the Eggs

Usually we have the entire weekend planned out for Easter about the week before all of the festivities start...this year we had no plan...and it was awesome. I encourage you to have a stress free Easter sometime, it will blow your mind. I had Eva pick out a few things she wanted in an Easter basket (I'm starting to feel a little anti-Easter bunny b/c Easter feels like the most important time of year and I think it should be Christ oriented) and that was that she knew she had to wait till Easter to get it and we tried to focus the whole week before on Christ and was Easter is all about. It really helped that she had the scripture for Primary on Easter b/c we practiced it over and over (John 3:16) and we had a great FHE on it as well. Anyway, my point is that I didn't feel pressure to make this holiday commercialized and it was awesome. Also, we made like really last minute dinner plans with my family (the menu was last minute) and it turned out so great. It was all very low key and I wish all holidays were like that.
Eva and Grandpa dyeing eggs. It should be known that my dad is like a 5 year old trapped inside of a 46 year old body. We do these "traditional" things mostly for my dad and Eva.
This is my dad's egg, he titled it: San Andreas Fault line. I thought that was pretty funny.
These are my Martha Stewart eggs. I know, you're impressed.
This is Eva's dinosaur egg. This came about by me dipping one of my eggs in two different colors, so Eva thought she should probably do that too...she chose to dip her egg in about 4 colors, hence the nice green color. It did turn out to be an awesome dino egg though. Well done Eva.
Next up in pics is Eva's America's Next Top Model Poses. This has explanation and I will give it accordingly.

Those eggs are awesome! Lilly and I decided that we would dye eggs next year. The idea didn't really cross my mind this year... lol

You're awesome!
Love the bows on the eggs, too

love the eggs, you are so talented. you should see ours.. goofy for sure. i felt the same way this year about christ and easter vs. bunny and easter, but very impressed with jaxon and his knowledge of it all when the day was over. i was drilling him with the real reason and then his lesson taught him too. loved it..
