Fantasy Friday: A little bit of everything-Spring

As I perused the web last night I came upon several things that I loved...that I found a cheaper knock-off elsewhere and things that I just had to share. So here it is.
Onward:

I love these bangs. I have no clue who this girl is...I think I read that she's on a soap opera...anyway, I love her bangs. As we all know bangs have made a huge comeback within the last 6 months and of course they are a way to freshen up your look for Spring without having to so anything drastic..or buy anything. So if you want to make a subtle change that's fashion forward, I encourage bangs...of course this is at your own discretion...you know your hairline and scalp better than I, so if you know you can't work a bang, there are other ways to freshen up for Spring.

Like a great hair accessory! I love these head bands! They are bright and fun and no...you don't have to wear three at a time. I especially loved these because they were part of the entire look of Spring. They are attention grabbers, unique and they will definitely liven up your wardrobe (and overall look). These sweet headys (yes I made that up) are $48 from Nordstroms. Yes, you read that correctly. I also love the double headband look in one. Very, right now.

CKOne baby. Remember CkOne? Maybe it's still around who knows. That actually has nothing to do with this dress...well not nothing, this dress is by Calvin Klein. Who doesn't love the look of white eyelet for summer. It's fresh (white literally makes you think fresh and pure) and nice and cool for warm weather. This is a great shift dress with eyelet overlay detail. It is of course $118 BUT lucky for you I found a knock off. I opted for the knock off that RedBook says flatters a curvy woman.

Now a knock-off is just that, I'm not going to bring you the same exact dress, I'm going to bring you a dress with the same elements and ideas behind the more expensive dress. Hence this dress from Old Navy for $34.50. They have a few other white choices but this is the most versatile. Anyway, same idea but affordable.

Have I ever indulged you with the fact that I love a good handbag? I started collecting them when I was 12 years old. I think I had about 15 purses then. I love them. Of course after I got married many of them got put in boxes and I had to get rid of most of them but I still have a place in my heart for a great bag. Realistically now it's impossible for me to have 10 different bags to choose from: 1. I don't go that many places anymore(I doubt if the check out guy at WinCo will even appreciate my bag) 2. I have no room for a bunch of purses 3. My diaper bag is my purse...so not cool, but this is my life, I can deal. Onto this beautiful bag. It's by Lockheart, is called the 'Coquette Gwen' I don't know the significance of that but I love the ties. I also loved this color, coral, it also came in a great brown and a white. I would choose the brown for everyday but I would choose this coral for a spring statement piece. It's beautiful. And for $750 it can be mine...or yours. Maybe if we pull everyone we know we can all split it and then send it to each other to use every few weeks? Too much work. Let's just pretend.

My next bag is the essence of Spring and Summer. It's the love child purse of Spring and Summer (assuming that one of the seasons is a boy, I think Summer is the boy). This bag is by Rafe New York and her name is 'Lotus Flower' cute, right? There are perforated flower throughout the bag (that just screams summer bag!) and of course there's the bright orange that you can't miss. It's fun, and fashion is about having fun and making a statement. Lotus Flower is $4. Oops sorry, I meant $475.

Last but not least, I have to end with shoes. This is my ode to a slingback. There is nothing more comfy that a sling back, in my opinion...well I guess, if you have to wear a heel I like the slingback. It stays on without slipping and it looks cute and it works for warmer weather (especially if it has a peep toe). I choose this one because it's a nude color and would look amazing with anything. It's classic, plus the nude color will elongate your leg. Oh yeah, this is an Anne Klein "Nara" for $89, not that bad for a great classic shoe that will go with anything.

Soooo going with my theme of slingbacks I bring you this great fun red patent pair. This is "Marishka" by Liz Claiborne for $69 it's a great bright shoe the heel isn't too high and it will bring a pop to the 'ol wardrobe.

I love this sandal because it's simple and chic. Plus it gives a little bit of a height lift without having to wear a heel. These would be great for summer church. I want these, they are sophisticated enough for church but you could totally dress them down. Loves it! These are by Kenneth Cole $69.

Last but not least is this SoftWalk sandal. It looks SUPER comfy and if you have kids that you're running after (or a prego belly that's getting bigger) comfort for your feetsies is key. Plus these have a great style to them, the ring in the center is cute, the leather is timeless. It comes in other colors, I thought the brown was the best chameleon though, and it's $88.95.

Well, I hope everyone has a great weekend and I will post some before and after pics of my hair cut this afternoon. Think warm thoughts!

Okay, I just read the rest of your recent post. Crazy that I saw you before the hair cut. I went a bit shorter. Can't wait to see what you've done. If I had known I would have hung out at the Retreat.
