Eva
Our sweet baby is an official elementary schooler. She's started her schooling career this week. The way kindergarten works around here is they have an interview with the teacher, so she can get to know where your child is at and then there is a "soft start" day where only half the class goes. The way things were this year Eva had her school pictures before she even started school!
Anyway, this is what she picked out for her school pictures...she totally picked out the headband, so cute, right?!
And this is what she wanted to wear on her first day of school...can you see the excitement?
Of course Elle wanted to jump in on the shot- yes that's Elle bed head.

Kissing daddy bye.

Outside her classroom, at the point she just wanted to get inside the actual room.
At her seat with her name tag on. At this point, her teacher said, go ahead and pick out a book and sit on the rug.
Eva went right over the the bookshelf and thoughtfully picked out a book...
She sat in the beanbag (smart choice) and just started reading. I got this picture right before I left. I was so proud of her, she was just ready and it totally brought tears to my eyes, I'm so proud of her.
When we went to pick her up she was beaming and so excited to tell me everything that went on that day. Tomorrow is the end of her first full week of kindergarten, she's done really well and I couldn't be more proud of our sweet baby girl becoming kid.

Jeremy's father survived his surgery and is in recovery now. So far there are no signs of paralysis and he's responsive to his name. Please keep his recovery in your prayers, thank you so much.

Prayers Needed
My wonderful father in law experienced a blood stroke and partial aneurysm today. He is stable now but will be going into surgery in the morning. He has a team of doctors coming together to keep him alive. My dear sweet mother in law is at his side and has nothing with her, they life flighted him and she happened to be at the hospital with a friend, she has no purse on her at all.
Please pray for his doctors and for him. Please pray for my mother in law to feel peace, I pray that someone is willing to serve her where she is, that she can get food and sleep.
Please keep them in your prayers.
Love, Christa

Sleep-o-holics
There's nothing sweeter than a child that has passed out. I'm dead serious. Especially one who refuses to let go of the chocolate graham crackers...

And to see your sweet 5 year old daughter pass out is even better. Kids never give into the temptation of a nap...passing out during dinner is the highlight of our year!

(Of course Elle takes every opportunity to pose and smile...she had no idea Eva was asleep)

So sweet. And yes, yes that is a Pokemon shirt...barf.

for-ev-er
I know it's been a long time since I've written anything substantial on this blog...sorry.
I'll update with everyone and put up some pics tonight...promise.
Jeremy:
I'll update with everyone and put up some pics tonight...promise.
Jeremy:
- can see the light at the end of the schooling tunnel
- has been doing lots of fishing (luckily he goes with friends so I don't have to go)
- needs to have another knee surgery, but it's whenever we want so, that's nice, we can save
- is doing the power 100 push-ups challenge and is up to 78 push-ups in a row
Eva
- was recently stung by a swarm of wasps, I think we counted 6 stings and one bite, poor sweet girl
- a week later was bit by a dog!
- starts school officially on the 14th and has some things next week, like an interview with her teacher, dropping off school supplies and school pictures.
- can not wait for kindergarten
Elle
- is really good at saying "no"
- pooped and peed on the potty once...
- knows that she's cute because I'm pretty sure if she wasn't she'd be in boarding school already
- can count to 12
- is an excellent singer of "Twinkle, Twinkle"
- loves Nutella
- is Eva Jr. only more wild and trying of my patience
Me
- eagerly anticipating dropping Eva off for her first day of school...I'm excited but I know I'm going to cry
- very excited to have Elle to myself while Eva's gone...even if it's for 3 hours, waaaaaay to early in the morning
- been practicing getting up early in the morning, so far Eva would have 3 tardies..I suck
- re organizing everything in our house, we our down sizing the sheer amount of crap that is in our house
- losing weight, I'm taking control of my health and my families health and we've changed the way we eat, we stopped eating fast food about a year ago and now I'm revamping our cupboards and fridge, Jeremy's lost 6lbs since I've done that! I've lost 15lbs so far and only a 1/4 of the way into how much I'd like to lose
- thinking about taking on a small babysitting job, but that means I'd need to find someone to watch in the first place...this would mostly supplement my shoe addiction
