Halloween Breakfast Buffet

I got this idea from Be Different...Act Normal the "Bat Poop" is cocoa puffs and the "Skulls and Bones" are lucky charms along with some "Ghost Blood"
Elle kept saying, "Eww, poo potty!" when I told her it was bat poop. I think they had fun.

All Hallow's Eve

Well the day started like crap. Elle woke up every half hour starting at 1:30am. At 4:30am I thought about dropping her out the window but instead I gave her some fever reducer and turned on the TV. By that afternoon she was herself...actually she was her self since 4:30am I wanted to punch myself in the face.
So we did our traditional downtown trick-or-treating that afternoon, with Coraline and a little Ladybug.

This Ladybug wasn't too happy to wake up from a nap...actually the real problem is because I didn't let her wipe herself on the pot and she was super mad at me...luckily once we got downtown she perked right up.

Our little Coraline got recognized a lot downtown, I was really glad too! I wasn't sure if people would get it but they did and she was so proud! My mom did a GREAT job creating this outfit. Thank you mom!

Warm Boot Update

I received an amazing coupon...A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!
Half Off of anything (ANYTHING) at Payless.
Now, as much as I love DSW (and name brand shoes) sometimes it makes cents (har, har, har) to buy shoes that will last you a season...especially if the deal is too good to pass up.
So I went to Payless (I use to work at Payless, I love Payless...there shoes are a hit and a miss, sometimes they last forever and they are comfy on top of that...and sometimes they last through the first wearing and it feels like you're wearing a board) and got some grey warm boots, which I'm totally in love with and I got Eva some new warm boots which she is totally in love with.
Here's a mini pic of my new boots, they are regularly $34.99These are Eva's boots they are regularly $29.99
I got BOTH of these boots for $27.94!!!
That's right people, they grey boots were on sale and I got half off the sale price!!! I got TWO pairs for less than the price of Eva's boots alone!!! Now THAT is a deal!

I'm Dreaming of New Warm Boots

I got these beauties the day after Thanksgiving last year...they aren't even a year old! Oh well...I discovered this today:
What the heck?! Not only that but every time I wear them and it's raining (hello, this is Oregon in the fall...it's always raining) my heels get wet because there's no tread left. Sad.

Lo and behold I get a email from Piperlime today "Cozy up in warm boots" that's what we call them in our house, it must be a SIGN! Most people call them UGGs (or such) but WE call them warm boots...it IS A SIGN.
Let me introduce you to just a few of the warm boots that I'm dreaming of:

First up, these are Witch Hazel by Clarks. My fav feature is the little loops to help you pull them on...I love shoes that involve one step. $120 (yeah...it's not in my budget either)

Next up Hipper Hi by EMU Australia, don't you just LOVE that name, Hipper Hi, who comes up with that? Anyway, these are warm AND cute the little wrap and bow give it a little on trend detail and the bow is so sweet! ON SALE $149.50 (yeah...you don't want to know what they are full price!)
These are probably the most functional for my situation: warm on the inside, waterproof (see: Oregon rain) and a great color to go with jeans! Get your reading glasses out for this name, eh hem: Mount Holly Earthkeepers (so not exaggerating that) by Timberland. $180
I use to be really anti-Sketchers, I'm not sure why but I just am/was, but they seem to be growing on me, maybe because their kids shoes are super graphic and it's a style my daughters love...also you can find great deals at department stores (ie: I got Elle some sketchers for $13 in stead of $35 at Kohls). This is "Hyped Up" by Sketchers, these are cozy and warm and they remind me of thermal undies and a big roaring fire...ahhh, hot chocolate and marshmallows. $70
I LOVE the look of the sweater boot- I had some that I retired this summer at girls camp, I brought them with the intention of leaving them in the dump after camp. They smelled...really bad. Anyway, these would be a great rebound boot, "Honeypup" by Rocket Dog...I love Rocket Dog. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned that before...I haven't met a Rocket Dog that doesn't feel amazing on...and I 99% love all their designs. $55 (that's easy on the wallet too- a stretch but doable for a quality shoe)
Now this is a fashion warm boot if I ever saw one Chiclet by Nine West. This is almost a full leg warmer upper. The fur on the side is cute and fun, it's not over done either, which I really appreciate. I love the little tiny wedge and I love a good caramel color in warm boots. With this height it's asking to be worn with skinny or straight jeans...or in my case yoga pants. $159
Last but not least "Paddington Lo" by EMU Australia. I fell in love with the toggle back in the 90's, it's super cute and fun PLUS functional it's more of a statement than the regular 'ol button. These are just darling! $160
Hopefully you're on your journey to your ideal warm boot. I'm on mine, I'm going to Eugene tomorrow and hopefully there's a pair of warm boots calling my name...well, there will be but hopefully it will calling the right number because my sugar daddy only shells out so much at the end of the month!
Happy Friday!

It's my birthday and I'll cheat if I want to

(In this pic I've lost 30lbs!)

That's right, I'm 27...and have been for over a week now. Time sure does fly by. I haven't updated our little blog in for-ev-er...sorry family.
Here are some pics from my birthday with my amazing friends, we went out for sushi (ahh, sushi I love you Dubin roll and I always will) and then we headed back to the clubhouse for cake...and I'm not just talking any cake, the Costco chocolate cake the size of my posterior.

I will say that I couldn't eat the cake and ice cream, the ice cream tasted like sugar syrup and it made me sick after two bites...I did however eat the layers of my cake without the frosting, I took one bite of frosting and my insides started to twitch...I just can't do sugar like I use to and it's a really, really good thing!

(yeah, that's Michelle grabbing my bum in the background!)

My super awesome amazing friends pitched in so I could put some $$ towards this dress I've been drooling after for months. It's kind of my "goal" dress I guess, I bought it in a Large it didn't come in # sizes so I have no idea what real size it is BUT I ordered it and it came three short days later, I love this dress, it's from Shabby Apple. Well, I tried to get a pic of it but I can't...it's from the Manhattan collection and it's the Fifth Avenue dress. Loves it. Thank you friends...and Jeremy for getting me this dress.
