Yesterday it was like 60 degrees and beautiful and today it's like 50 and monsooning. Ahh, you've got to love Oregon.
Eva's appt. was this morning and she has kind of a "brain" physical, some walking and touching her nose, reflexes etc. Things to just make sure that the seizures aren't being caused by anything else. And she got 100%. So our case is being sent to the pediatric neurologist in Eugene, Dr. Goins, who will apparently be our new friend for a while. Luckily for us he has a great reputation and does an excellent job of explaining things. So who knows when we'll be meeting with him and what tests he may want to do. I hope the conclusion is that she doesn't need medication, there are just so many side effects, I guess we'll see.
So as of now the Dr. is saying that Eva is Epileptic. He also mentioned that I definitely earned my Mother's Day this year, I'll Say!!

Update on Eva

I just got off the phone with the Dr. and we'll have an appointment tomorrow morning. So far from what the Dr. said it sounds like she may have Epilepsy. :(
I don't really want her to have to deal with that and having to be different, I've already cried about it, so now I need to be strong. Jeremy and I need your prayers and he and I will have to pray together and figure out what is going to be the best thing for her. We're seeing the pediatric neurologist later this week, I'm sure she'll have another EEG as well. Anyway, that's it for now and I'll keep this updated with anything else that may happen.

DANGIT!!!

Eva had another seizure this morning. It seemed much shorted than the first one and wasn't as scary since we knew what to expect. I'm afraid this means more testing next week, barf.
Anyway, she's fine now; it happened around 7:30am this morning and she came out of it all right. She was very cranky and confused for a while but we already had plans to go to my parents house for a great BBQ to celebrate Jeremy's birthday and she was back to her old self in not time at all. Especially once we got home and she started talking back...ahhh, a teenager in the making. I'm sure everything will be fine, please keep her in your prayers.
I'll keep everyone updated when and if we will figure anything out.

Back to the shoe, Palapa, I love this basket weave on the side, this shoe is SO great for summer but it has the class of going with really nice church clothes as well, yay for style and function! I love the details of the leather weaving and the classic brown. I would wear this shoe all summer long! Except for that it's $129.95 yowza!Mmmm, nothing says "summer lovin'" like patent orange! "Darian" comes in an array of colors I of course picked the orange because you can wear this with almost anything. Crisp white button down with a dark denim pencil skirt! Meow! Khaki skirt and a trendy floral top. The shoes are the statement, and a great one if you ask me! $109.95

I picked this next one, "Cerona", mostly because I saw a shoe almost exactly like it at Payless, and this would be a great style to get for cheaper. It has all the elements of a great summer shoe, fun colors the wedge, yay. At Steve Madden you can get it in a lot of different colors, at Payless you can only get it in a color that looks pretty similar to this one. It's up to you, one is around $20 and this one is $79.95 in (almost) any color your heart desires.

I really loved the beading of this shoes. It's really fun and I love the vibe of it, it's classic with the trend of super flat summers and has this beading that you don't see in a lot of shoes. It's unique and me gusta. "Batikk" is $89.95.

Did I ever tell you the story about when I was a kid trying on shoes at Kmart (hey we all have to start somewhere) and I had my favorite pair of transparent teal sparkle jellies and I left them in an aisle while I went over to another aisle to try on shoes and someone stole them? I was so devastated but what made it worse is that my mom was really mad at me for doing it in the first place so I didn't really get to morn properly. I was so sad, they were perfectly worn in and they had so much more life left in them. Anyway, when I saw these shoes all those feelings came rushing back. I heart Jellies. At least the ones that fit well and don't give you a blister. "Jellied" is only $19.95 and comes in a lot of colors as well. The also have them at Old Navy but I think they are the same price...if it was me I would buy the Steve Madden, yes I do like to have name brand if the price is right.

I like classic, I will always return to a classic, it's great to have fun bright shoes but at the end of the day you don't always need/want a statement shoe. This shoe would be amazing with everything all year long. You can wear this grocery shopping to dress yourself up a bit without going overboard, it's like a feel good shoe. But you can easily wear this to church and with anything else. I like function, and so does my husband "Bleekerr" is $79.95 and comes in a lot of colors including this great purple which I almost showcased but this cognac is so classic I couldn't pass it up.

I only put this up b/c it totally reminded me of the Dharma Initiative sign on Lost, am I right?

This is on sale for 69.95 her name is Laveda and this is a classic look that will never go out of style. I love everything about this shoe, especially that it's on sale! Helloooo.

Love this belt people, if you wore this (or something like it) and were able to rocked it out, MAJOR props. I would have mad respect for you. $38

If you wore this your kids would have mad respect for you. Your kids would love this belt, you can just wear a long shirt and then when they get testy in line just lift your shirt up a bit and have them, "Find all the yellow ones" or, "count all of them" Your kids will love this belt $48. Happy Birthday Jeremy!!

Today is my dear husbands birthday so I thought I would share a little bit about him.

When he was born he came out posterior (that's bum first right?) and he had the cord wrapped around his neck, if I remember correctly I think he was small but his mom said that it was the hardest most painful labor because of his position...that doesn't surprise me at all, that labor was a little premonition of him as a child. He might be small but he could pack a punch....that sounded really cheesy.

Anyway, he grew up mostly on farms and got into a lot of fights as a child...I don't really know why, I don't even know if he knows why but he has scars all over his knuckles to prove it! That trend lasted up until about two years ago when he punched someone out in the Bi-Mart parking lot...he said right after he did it he thought, "What am I doing? I have a family at home I can't get in trouble." So he said he got into the car and drove around in Philomath for a while and then came home. To be honest it's kind of sexy.

When we were dating he would talk to me in Spanish all the time and we would write notes to each other in Spanish (mine were lacking a lot of skill but he still keeps them in his wallet).

Two weeks after we started dating we told everyone that we were going to marry one another....we got married two years later...that sucked.

Jeremy has two brothers one older one younger and two younger sisters. All of the sister in laws were pregnant at the same time last year.

Jeremy went on a Spanish speaking mission to Nashville Tennessee. He had to come home early because his knees were swollen to the size of grapefruits...and they also thought he had a brain tumor. Turns out it wasn't a brain tumor (yay) but it's benign inter-cranial hyper tension which means he constantly has a headache that can very easily turn into a migraine...it used to be paralyzing and he would bleed from his eyes and ears but that hasn't happened for a loooooong time (knock on wood) and he had to have knee surgery on both his knees. Since we've been married he has had 4 knee surgerys.

Jeremy is an amazing provider, he has worked really hard our whole marriage and I am so proud that I've been able to stay home since I was 8 months pregnant, I haven't worked since December 2003 and Jeremy has made that possible for our family.

He always tries to get me what I want, it's a blessing and a curse, he spoils me so much that I don't even realize it, I told him he needs to be firmer with me and tell me I don't always get what I want...he's doing much better, I kind of think that's sexy too...he never tells me no so when he does, I like it!

He loves his little girls so much, I have a feeling he's going to handle them being teenagers better than I will.

He has the most amazing blue eyes...Elle has his eyes...I never thought I would have a baby with blue eyes.

He's incredibly strong.

He is really funny but no one knows because he never talks to anyone.

When he laughs really hard it sounds like a snake hissing. It's really cute.

We're almost exactly 18 months apart, 18 months and 11 days.

He really loves his family, not just us but, his extended family, my family, his family, he cares about them so much, everything that has to do with family matters to him.

One more thing, I know this sounds cheesy but he only calls me "Babe" I never thought anything of it but I can always tell when he's upset with me because he calls me "Christa" and it causes me to have whiplash. I never hear him call me by name so I know he's serious when he calls me by name, I really love that he calls me "Babe" because it kind of makes me feel like one still.

I love you Jeremy, you are the best husband and the only one for me, no one understands me like you do, you love me no matter what, even thought I am the worst housewife ever you never complain and it means so much to me, I know that we were meant to be. You are a wonderful father to our beautiful girls and they love you so much. Happy 27th Birthday! Muah!

Is pizza all she ever eats?

I know some of you are thinking that...it's just happens that she looks the cutest eating pizza because it's the only meal I let her eat herself. I didn't purposefully make the pizza heart shaped it was just what the dough was doing so I went with it.

I made chicken bacon ranch pizza...seriously it was as good as it sounds. I was paying homage to the CBR sub at subway I must say the $5 footlong has been my friend over this past month.

My first Quilt!

Well every Tuesday night I have quilt class/group and over the last week my goal was to get all of my squares sewn and tonight sew all of the squares together to get the top of my quilt done. Yay, I did it! For those of you that don't know I'm making my very first quilt in an "extra" enrichment group at church, they set it up for anyone who wants to learn to quilt and they just started a night class so my mom and I were the first ones to sign up! I decided to take the pattern we are doing "Turning Twenty" and make a baby quilt for Elle for her first birthday.

I choose to put in some pig print because she was born in the Chinese year of the pig.

Anyway, here is what I finished tonight:

Yucky weekend...besides the snow, yes that's right snow.

The girls are both sick...thanks to me. This guy who is in our ward stopped me and my friend Heather the other day when we were on a walk and said he was getting rid of a bunch of toys and if we wanted to look through them before he gave them to Goodwill we could. Sweet.
So we came back and got a bunch of awesome stuff that was in great condition, it wasn't even dirty. So of course I think, "I should really disinfect these before they play with them but they are so clean, I'll just let them play and disinfect tonight." Yeah, I never cleaned them and both of the girls are now sick. I feel really bad, mostly because Ellie has such a disgusting nose and boogies (that's pronounced bow-ghee's from Harry Potter) all over and her nose is all red and she can't go to class today...and it was massage day too :( I was really looking forward to it. Oh well. Eva just has a little bit of a phlegm cough.
Sorry kids, your mom sucks this week, better luck next week.

On a lighter note Jeremy's birthday is on Thursday, he will be turning the big 2-7. That's right he's like getting older and stuff. I can't believe he's going to be 27, weird. We met just after I turned 18 and he was 19...teenagers! Jeremy does except gift cards from Target, made out to Christa, C-h-r-i-s-t-a. Thank you.

Fantasy Friday: Mama-MIA

I figure there are a lot of people I know that are pregnant right now and I love maternity clothes so I could showcase a few and also there's this shoe brand called Mia and I really love all of there shoes, even the ones I wouldn't necessarily buy for myself I really love the style.

So being pregnant can get old after a few months...usually the later months and I think everyone deserves a good laugh...I love all of these shirts. I think every pregnant person should own one of them. It's so much fun to be pregnant (at least I think it is) and everyone stares at you and notices you more anyway...may as well have an awesomely funny conversation starter shirt.

This one says no smoking, no drinking, no sushi. Cute.

There was another on like this that was even funnier it read: I'm not fat I'm pregnant (and fat).I really love this one. I don't actually care if people touch my belly when I'm pregnant, I can't even remember if anyone ever did, but so many people have a problem with it I would just wear this shirt for the reaction of others alone. I really love them all. I think the styles are cool. Piano Lessons

Piano Lessons

Since no one in our family can play the piano (Jeremy kind of can but he never does) we like to let the girls have creative freedom and express themselves.

You'll have to ignore my odd panting noise as if I'm some senile old man in the video, I was at a weird angle and...well really there is no excuse, it's just one of those: weird-noises-that-you-make-and-you-don't-realize-you-sound-so-weird-until-you-hear-it-and-then-consciously-make-sure-you-never-do-it-again-but-its-caught-on-a-video-so-you-want-to-share-the-video-and-you're-just-like-really-embarrassed...it's like that.

I no longer have perfect teeth.

My fate filled day was last week at 1pm. I now have an official cavity.

You'll have to ignore my mustache...usually only my husband is that close to me...and he never has a flash to highlight every hair on my face so...deal with the 'stache.
It wasn't that bad BUT I CAN NOT imagine doing that as a small child, no wonder everyone hates the dentist. I was always the "freak" who loved the dentist...if I had to endure that as a kid I would have hated the dentist as much as the rest of the world. So people who hate the dentist I owe you an apology...but I still like going to the dentist.

Museum Pics...finally.

I've had a pleasantly busy weekend.
First, starting on Friday we had amazing weather, I think it was almost 80 on Saturday
Second, women's conference was this weekend with Sister Chieko Okasaki and she was great! Seriously, exactly what I want to be like when I'm 82.
Third, Girls night out on Friday, SOOOO much fun, didn't get home till 12am! What am I single? :)
Fourth, Sunday was my first time having the missionaries over for dinner...I'm not longer a missionary dinner virgin...and it was much better than I thought it was going to be.
Fifth, I've been trying to spend more time with the girls so I'm not on the computer as much

So, here are some of our pics from the museum last week, it was really fun to go as a family and watch our girls have such a great time, thank you to my friend Angie who told us about it in the first place!!

So cute, right?! I think this is what she's going to look like as a kid! This is such an older kids smile and imagine it with her blond hair!! I'm in for trouble! My little baby isn't a baby anymore! Eva loved this digging area, it was fake gravel and she thought it was so much fun.
Keeping it real.This is the water area, she loved it, her sleeves were soaked but I don't even think she noticed.Eva was jammin' out with this little boy, so cute. HE WAS ADORABLE!! I was swaying back and forth to the music and he kept doing this little giggle smile, I wanted to take him home with me. This again strengthens my desire to adopt a little black boy. Daddy did the face painting.Elle's very wise third eye.There were so many activities for the kids to do, we could have spent all day there. This is what Eva is afraid of apparently, not pirates or chainsaws or bugs, fake alligators.I hope we can go again sometime after Elle starts walking.

Family Day!

So yesterday we loaded up the family and went to the Portland Children's Museum. Our original plan was to go to the zoo because once a month they have a "cheap" day and Eva has yet to go to the zoo (I know it's shocking but it's true...she's been to the aquarium a bunch of times we just never get up to Portland that often). Anyway, the weather was too cold and rainy for us so we went to the museum and had a great time!
Jeremy really needed the past few days off he's been working so hard and he's been so stressed out, he needed a break and some time with the family. As soon as I get the pics on the computer I'll post them!

and other things Eva sees:This apparently is what's under our couch...I wouldn't know, I rarely get down that low. I think that Eva purposefully puts things under the couch so Elle will dive for them. Elle will seriously dive like a baseball player and reach for things under the couch. I can name everything that's in this pic...that makes me feel better, at least they aren't foreign objects: water bottle, sock, jewelry box, stuffed kitty, Kix and...well I don't know what that think is in the middle but I know it's not harmful.My new elliptical. We can all thank Eva for getting a pic of it. Elle can't wait to see who gets voted off Top Chef.I LOVE this picture.
