Easter 2011

Our Easter was actually really low key this year...shocking I know.
We did our baskets after church and since Sunday's are so long we dyed a few eggs too.
These are the pictures from our egg dying and we only have these pictures thanks to Jeremy mostly!

Reading the Easter card from Grandma made for all three of the grandbabies.

The egg dying

I look totally disgusting in this picture...pretty sure my hair and face is unwashed.
Buuuuuut, this is the only picture with JJ, proving that in fact he was there for his first Easter.

Hope you all had a great Easter. Ours was nice and low key, complete with Jeremy, JJ and I taking a two hour nap together...awesome.

Time is flying by

JJ will be two weeks old tomorrow! Here are a few pictures from the last week.
First bath at home:

They always love the hair washing.

Eva learned how to make cream puffs from Grandma...they were so good!

We've been dealing with JJ being jaundice and having to be under the biliblanket since Friday...what a pain.
He really hated it at first, he's use to it now so that makes it easier to deal with but I can not wait till we don't have to deal with it anymore! He goes in tomorrow, his two week appt, to get tested again. Which I'm also dreading because this poor boy has had his little heels pricked and poked so much, it's so sad.
We had a baby shower.
And we also said goodbye to Grandma. She had been here for a month, she came a couple weeks before JJ arrived and she was so much help. Truly, it was a great visit and we miss her tons!

Grandma left us with many wonderful homemade things that we can cherish for a long time.

It's been a crazy two weeks, I feel really great, I think I can thank natrual labor for that. But man am I tired! I forgot how much nursing can take it out of you the first few weeks. I'm looking forward to when JJ gets older when he sleeps more, which means I sleep more!

Jacob is here!!

I woke up at 5am with contractions on Thursday morning the 7th that I couldn't sleep through any longer. Around 5:30am I went to the bathroom and the contractions started getting harder. I woke Jeremy up around 5:45am he took a shower, then I did. I took my time in the shower which wasn't probably the best idea but the hot water felt so nice on my back. Once I got out I realized I needed to get going. We were all in the car (me, Jeremy and my mom) after 6am, got to the hospital at 6:35am. I literally took my clothes off, hopped into the bed and after a couple contractions my water broke, I had one more contraction after that then they had my push...I pushed three times and he was here at 6:44am. That's right people, 9 minutes after I got to the hospital.
SO CRAZY! It's still blowing my mind how quickly it all happened.
But what is really blowing my mind is that he was 9lbs 15oz!!! That is ONE OUNCE away from 10lbs!!
The girls were only 7lbs! I still can't believe I pushed out this giant baby, and only tore to a 2! I tore to a 2 with Elle and a 4 with Eva!

And now we have a son!! I wanted a mama's boy really, really badly and I'm so excited!! As soon as they put him on me I knew he was our sweet Jacob we'd been waiting for all these months, our sweet boy.

I'm still getting use to saying "him" and "he." All though since we don't find out it's always a few days adjustment for me to call out babies by anything other than baby.

His nickname is JJ. When Jeremy and I were dating he said he always thought it would be cool to have a sone named JJ because he thought it would sound good at school sporing events, "Up to bat, JJ Brower!" and a few months ago Eva brought up the name JJ and said she wanted to be called JJ for a while, then decided if we had a boy that we should name him JJ.
We decided on a "J" name, I've always loved boy names with "J" and I've loved the name Jacob for a while.

His middle names (that's right, plural, this is our only son people), are Robert after my grandpa who meant and did so much for me when I was young before he passed away and Lance after Jeremy's dad whom we both admire and look up to so much. Jacob Robert Lance Brower.

And now for some pics!
