Merry Happy Belated Christmas in January!!

This is our newest Advent calendar we got from my grand"Ma" there were little candy canes in it leading up to Christmas- the girls really loved it.

Elle making sure that Santa got all the crumbs...

I let Elle go for it on Christmas- there were chocolates in her stocking and she ripped into them and had chocolate face and fingers all morning...the blessings of not being the first born.

Very excited to get Tink.

LOVES this baby- this was Eva's gift to Elle- it coos and says mama and moves around...Elle fell in love with it at Bi-Mart and Eva really wanted to get it for her...Elle loves this baby.

Eva got her Meeba from Santa...she wanted this soooo bad, as you can see from her expression.
At grandma and grandpa's in their new PJ's and robes from grand"Ma".

Elle opening up her Yo Gabba Gabba toys- you can see on her lips she's saying "Too-Dee!"

And Eva's first princess's she was very excited about this, not that you can tell.

Well that's out Christmas 2008 in a nutshell, better late than never.

Merry Christmas

We had a great Christmas this year- Christmas is so different when you have kids, it's so amazing to watch your child's eyes light up when they see presents under the tree and to be making their Christmas memories for the rest of their lives.

This morning Jeremy and I were in bed talking waiting for our girls to wake up (can you believe that? on Christmas!) and Eva opened her door, which is diagonal from our room- she looked at us and said:
Eva: I looked out my window and there's no snow...
Me: Yes...
Eva: Is it still Christmas?
Me: Yes sweety, it is still Christmas.
Eva: Ok, Merry Christmas...now I have to go pee.

Eva thinks it can only be Christmas with snow...she was genuinely worried that it wasn't going to be Christmas when she woke up. So sweet to see the world through your child's eyes.

I hope you all had magical Christmases. We did and thank you to the grandparents that sent us gift for the kids...they loved them! Picture's to come soon!

My Very Own Tinkerbell...and her many emotions.

So I was laying in bed with my camera...that sounds weird...anyway, Eva came in with her little dress up on and I asked her if she wanted to do a little mini photo shoot so I could play with different lens speeds and settings. She of course said yes.

This is the first test pic we did on automatic before I switched to different settings. Can you see the 16 year old girl in this picture? I can and I just poo'd.

Now presenting Eva's many emotions...we're working on her acting skills so I can profit from having children (I'm just joking...I thought I'd throw that out there just in case.)

Regular Happy:

Anguish, disappointment and frustration...with a dash of sadness:

And that concludes the acting faces.

My Newest European Obsession- The Ting Tings.

I saw this group on "Yo Gabba Gabba" believe it or not and I thought that they were a kids group...I'm always looking for kids music that does not sound like kids music...something I can tolerate without my ears bleeding. Anyway, I looked them up and they are a regular band. I'm pretty sure I'd be in love with them if I was 16- but I'm 26 so I just like them a lot. Enjoy.

Our own family pics

We headed over to my parents backyard this year to try and get some family pictures of the four of us. I tried to set it up the best I could and we were working on little time before Elle would completely meltdown...it was close to nap time. I think the pics turned out well for a sort of last minute idea. My mom took this pic of the four of us and I took everything else. Thanks mom and dad for your hard work! p.s. there were a ton of pics, these are my favorites:This picture pretty much sums uo Elle's entire personality...that's why I love it. This isn't the best picture...what with the garden hose and such in the back, but I love these shoes, that's the main reason I kept it...I can crop that other stuff out.
I may install a GPS in the top layer of Eva's skin once she's 16 (maybe even before) so I know where she is at all times...and with whom! Are you kidding me? Boys will be knocking on my door no matter what, even if my dream of making her a major nerd comes true, I'm just going to have Star Wars boys knocking on my door...and yes, they will be sent away.

Daddy and his girls, I love this shot of Jeremy and Elle- their sweet little mini-me bond.
Awww. I know you said it out loud or in your head.
And the baby makers themselves. I don't think we've had a decent shot of us since I was 18! Thanks mom- you captured us.

All in all, things turned out well, who knows if I'll actually get a card out this year...we'll see..maybe I'll wait till after Christmas and send out an awesome WDW pic!
