The girls Easter shoot

So a few words of caution:
A. It was cold despite the sunny exposure...
2. I was playing with the camera and not really looking at the pics I was taking of Elle and they were over exposed
C. There are no pics of these two together because I knew neither would cooperate together, they barely cooperated alone.
All that being said here are the best of my not so great pictures...

Even though she has a lazy eye in this pic it's just sooo cute...I wish she didn't have a lazy eye, but there's nothing I can do about that.

No these are no photo shopped, I don't know how to do that.

Big girl!!
Doesn't she look so old?!

Right after I took this picture all I could see were the stupid road lines in the background...I think I'll take them out if I ever print this picture.
So pretty.

Yeah, that's right, I produced this girl!!

April Foooooooooooools!!!

After reading several blogs after St. Patricks day I felt like kind of a "loser mom" that I didn't ransack the house to look like leprechauns had been there, or color the milk green...I bought Lucky Charms though...that's as far as I went. Also I don't really get St. Patricks day; most people I talk to say they hated it growing up because they got pinched.

Anyway, back to my original story. My dad is a little bit of a prankster and I always enjoyed April Fool's Day growing up...even more after I got married....one April Fools day I pranked that I was pregnant...that was awesome, I'm pretty sure my parents wanted to punch me, it was awe-some. So I decided I would do some good natured pranks on Eva this year...just to get her in the spirit of the day. I read several blogs suggesting food that looked different than what it was going to taste like. In my Family Fun magazine there were several recipes to try. I opted for the cupcakes. They of course are actually meatloaf with colored potatoes.
She may looked disappointed but it's just a bad picture. She didn't even flinch...and proceeded to eat two.

Then it was on to Eva's April Fools "lunch." Just so you know, I did this for 2 and a half hours this morning instead of showering...and it felt good. I felt like, this is what I'm supposed to be doing for my kids...making a memorable experience.
Anyway, here are my "chicken strips" and "peas" (sugar wafer cookies in peanut butter rolled in crushed corn flakes and laffy taffy's rolled into balls). They said fish sticks in the mag. but I knew Eva wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole if I said fish...so I improvised.

In honor of April Fools I told her she could have her dessert first...muuah haa haa.
She always eats the frosting first
I convinced her that the "cake" itself was super choclately and wonderful so even though she didn't think the "frosting" was good she thought she'd give it a try, what a nice daughter I have.

Oh yeah!

I couldn't have asked for a better reaction.

I even convinced her that maybe that was a "bad bite" and to try it again...this was too good, my eyes were watering because I was laughing so hard!

She had enough so she went in for the "peas"

I think she started thinking something was up...

When she crunched into the "chicken" it was hilarious, it was so loud, I wish I could have gotten her immediate reaction but I didn't click fast enough.

This is when I told her April Fools! She's such a good sport! I really learned today that she has a good sense of humor and didn't get upset over sill things.

I told her this morning we were having cookies for breakfast then of course April Fools...that's when I explained to her what it was all about. She thought it sounded like a fun day.
On the way to school we thought of silly pranks she could tell her friends and teachers.
I think she had a fun day with her pranks and I look forward to having a fellow pranker in the house in years to come!

Eva's St.Patricks Day Photo Shoot

I only kept this picture because you can see my new curtains in the background, don't you love them? I do, this is my first time with curtains and I love them.

Hands down my favorite picture of the afternoon.

Where or where has my little baby gone, oh where or where can she be?

Are you joking me with these eyes??

This is what happens if you bring out a camera anywhere near Elle. She starts saying "cheese" and pretty much doesn't stop till you put the camera away.

Happy Saint Patricks Day

Sooo, I was thinking to myself...what is St. Patricks day? Like, who invented this and why? Anyway, I actually don't care but if you feel the need to educate me in the comment section, feel free.

I don't know about everyone else's kids but my sweet little daughter Eva is not adjusting to the time change. She can not get up in the mornings, all she does is complain and roll over, this from my kid that was getting up at 7am (sometimes before) and waited (sometimes hours) before anyone else got up...how could this effect her so much? And why is she not over it yet?

Needless to say we were running super late this morning...BUT I did manage to do the one thing that I wanted to today and that was a Lucky Do 4-Leaf Clover hairstyle! I didn't have time to take a picture of it before we left, so this is 3-hours-of-preschool-old-hair but you can still get the idea. Mine didn't turn out quite like the demo, but I started it right when we would normally be leaving for school so, it was definitely rushed.

Eva (and by Eva I mean me) got tons of compliments on it at school, the teachers were all so impressed! Trust me I let them know I could hardly braid and I sang the praises of Mindy who makes it sooo easy to do, even for a novice like me!

Am I magic? You tell me...

You may be thinking to yourself, "How does she do it?" How can this lowly mother of 2 keep the attention of 5 children and her husband? What could she possibly be doing that mesmerize them all? A one woman play? The best magic show on earth? I will admit, the pizza and capri suns help... ...

All right, it has nothing to do with me...thank you tax return, thank you so very much.

Cute Girls Hairstyles

Just a little FYI- we (Eva and I) did a very quick rendition of Bundled Braids on Sunday- I say very quick because A. Even though we remembered about the time change we did not get up on time. and B. We were a half hour late for church- so it couldn't live up to all it's braided wonderfulness. This Sunday we will try it again and I will get pictures to share my extreme joy that I finally get to do my little girls hair- and it doesn't suck!
ALSO there's a giveaway at Cute Girls Hairstyles and I never win anything so this was my chance to share about my new fav blog, again.
