HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY EVA!!!!!!!!!

 

We love you so much sweet girl. You are smart, funny, and you love your Heavenly Father and family so much. Daddy and I can't believe we've had you with us for seven years already. You are a great big sister and friend. We look forward to continue to watch you grow bigger and older! Love you baby girl.

The Funky Swirl

Eva made up this dance the other day. She's added in some more moves once I started taping her. There is some techno on in the background but you can barely hear it on the video.
I couldn't stop laughing once I started. I'm not sure why I thought it was SO funny but when I was laughing I spit all over my phone...and then I really couldn't stop.

Actually these were the best of the bunch. Not even halfway through I had a pregnancy hormone meltdown and that was the end of that! So sad. So Grandparents...which one is your favorite? You'll get a 5x7 of your very own in the mail soon!

Yay, School is Out for Two Weeks!!!

I couldn't be more thrilled. At the end of summer I'm counting down the days till school starts BUT during the school year I look forward to any day that Eva has off!
I didn't get a picture of Eva on her last day of this year but I did get a picture of Ellie:

Isn't she adorable?! She's all smiles in her cute little outfit and reindeer horns.

Today was the first day we did something "fun" all though technically it's only the second day "off" of school...Monday we did errands and hung around the house. Today we did crafts.

 Elle and Eva working on their separate crafts. I picked out an easy gingerbread man...whom Elle promptly turned in to a gingerbread girl. I knew she'd get bored quickly so I also had lots of snowflake stickers for her to peel and stick. She loved it...she said it was the best day ever...it doesn't take much to impress this child. I'm afraid her head might explode on Christmas morning.

 Eva on the other hand is getting much older and wiser so I picked out a more complicated craft.

A "snow globe." The only instructions were to look at the picture and use your imagination.

Perfect for Eva. The only thing I did was set up the snowballs that were inside...because she let me!

 She was so proud, she walked around with it for at least a half hour. Right after she was done she said she wanted to wait for daddy to get home so she could show him...I told her daddy wasn't going to be home for at least 2 hours! She eventually set it down.

 Here's Elle's finished gingerbread girl...complete with extra embellishments a la Elle.

And Elle with no pants on...this child hardly ever wears pants at home.

There you have day one of fun in our two weeks out of school! Jeremy came home with pizza and the girls were thrilled...me too!! It was a great surprise!

Is it the broom or the girl?

Yes, she is wearing a sundress that's way to small for her in the middle of December. We don't go out much so I'm cool with it.

Eva's Wassail

Eva's annual wassail was on Thursday, she also had a field trip that day...Thursday was a day of fun at school for her!

 Saying "HI!" to Elle...she was really excited to see her.

These girls are getting to be really close...it's great.

I also took some video of Elle singing along to all the songs...of course once I started taping her she wasn't doing it as much but it was still super cute. It's probably a video only grandparents want to watch and finish...there's a special message for the grandparents at the end of this video. Enjoy!

Christmas Tree Hunt 2010

Every year we cut down our tree, the girls really look forward to it and it's really fun. Plus the place we go gives you free hot chocolate and candy canes (bonus).
There were a lot of lots selling trees by our house this year, here's one of Eva and mines conversations about tree lots:
Eva: Why do people buy a tree when they can cut one down?
Me: Well some people are too old and can't cut them down and some don't want to cut a tree down...like that lady there...see, she's too old to cut her own tree.
3 days later...we're waiting at the same light, that has two lots of trees and we hadn't cut our tree down yet.
Eva: OH MAN! I wish I was an old lady!
Me: (laughing) What?!
Eva: If I was an old lady I could just go over there right now and get a Christmas tree!
So cute.
Here we all are on the day we finally got our Christmas tree.

After walking around and going back and forth on what tree we wanted and what size would be good for this year, Jeremy came across this one and Elle agreed.

This is a reenactment. I missed the actual cutting...it was so quick I wasn't paying attention...I was too busy taking pictures of Elle.

 I'm trying to experiment more with my camera on manual... I know I have an awesome camera but I have no idea how to use it.

Luckily I have a perfectly willing model at my disposal.

We were getting in the car when I realized I wasn't in any of the pictures, not that I was that disappointed but I figured I should be in at least one picture so our future baby will know he/she was gestating at some point.

And there you have it. Christmas Tree Cutting 2010. We decided a smaller tree would be nice this year and it has been nice, it's the perfect size. I should've taken a picture of it all decorated. I let the girls decorate in purple and green ornaments this year...Eva's having regrets. Usually I rearrange everything they do once they go to bed but this year I thought it would be more fun to just keep it how they put it on....it's interesting. :)
