Scooter Fun!

The sun was actually shining a few days back so we took the opportunity to venture outside. Eva asks me to move our van out of the driveway so she can have room to play. Usually it's while I make dinner so I can watch her from the window, but today I joined her outside...it was just sooo warm. I was wearing capris for crying out loud! The wind in her hair! She also just got those Tinkerbell sunglasses and she loves them. I think she's becoming a little fashionista.
Once she saw that I got the camera out she had to start posing...she calls it fashion. Like, she'll do a pose and say, "Mom, is this fashion?" and I of course tell her it's very fashion!




She's a strong woman...of course I thought she was showing off her muscles in this shot...but if you look closely she's actually pointing to her sunglasses...always the model.

Fantasy Friday: WOODn't it be loverly?

Did you see what I did there? Smooth, I know. So I am very excited to share with you a new website I found while collecting my wooden heeled lovelies. It's called Asos and it has a GIANT variety of clothes and accessories. At pretty amazing prices...mostly. Some things are semi pricey but almost all of the Asos brands are an amazing deal.

The heel on this shoe is beautiful. It's a orient wooden cut out. The details are beautiful and the pattern on the upper is little golden strawberry's (awww). This shoe will get a conversation going. It's beautiful and also kinda classic. The peep toe makes it appear to be an average shoe but it is so much more. And only $115. Yes I did say only...come on, for that kind of craftsman ship and only $115, yeah that's what I thought. This shoe is be Miss L-Fire and that heel will give you 4in. Next up is a little jewel (get it...b/c it has little jewels on it, get it?) with antique bead accents around each jewel and stud details around the 100% pebble grain leather, what's not to love? These are like casual dressy. By that I mean, you could totally make these look casual and easily dress them up and they would be a super dressy sandal b/c of those gorgeous rich colored jewels. This is by Frye and it's called the Dolly, it also has a 1/2" platform and 4 1/2" wooden heel. Yikes! And of course is $198.
I like this bag. The end. J/K! Well, not really, there's not much more I can say, it's umm, orange, it has like, pleats in it and brown leather and it's super fun and it's really expensive..ok, that's the end. By Mz Wallace $365.

I love the little wrap this shoe does around the ankle, it's different and it probably looks really cool when it's on. Plus, I love the pink color. You shouldn't be afraid of buying a bright colored shoe. You can wear them with pretty much anything, you want to be careful with a super graphic printed shoe making sure you wear some of the colors in the shoe and not a strong graphic print yourself, but color, color you can wear with pretty much anything. This is "Dara" be Corso Como and it was handmade in Brazil...that's cool. Another cool thing about this shoe, is that a portion of every sale is donated to charity's involved in social and environmental causes....not only do you get cute shoes you help charity, nice going! With a 3" wooden heel and a 1/2" platform Dara is $160. You never know it may just be worth it.

I guess that's why they call it the blues. Anyone? A little Elton never hurt a soul. This also comes in tan (which is gorgeous btw) but I thought the blue was more Spring appropriate. You'll love the name of this shoe, "Foxy Mama" by Seychelles. That's right foxy mama, these shoes were made for you! With a 3/4" in platform and 3 3/4" stacked heel you will more than likely look like a total fox! A mere $90...it could be worse, check out the tan you may feel differently about the $90 then.



I do love a deal...as we all know. This great berry colored patent purse is at Target from Xhiliration and it's only $16.99.

I think these shoes would look amazing with the above mentioned purse. Anyway, these drops of lemony goodness are only $79 and they can come in tan and white as well. I thought the asymmetrical t-strap was something different along with the very cheery shade of yellow. By Kenneth Cole Reaction, "Limme Go." I saved these shoes for last because I really love the shape of them. They seem shaped close to the foot and I think they would make your foot look smaller than it is...plus for me (that's right, size 10) plus the peep toe for warmer weather (someday) and the tan is such a great neutral to have in any wardrobe. These are by French Connection they're just called the "t-bar" (boooooring) but they're only $70, not bad. You can find them at asos.com.
And this super cute purse, great fun colors and retro flower print, loves it! This is by Asos and they call it their "Billy Bag" cute name, I have to give props for that, now this bag is $85 which is kind of a lot for a purse but it's pretty cool. Now to prove my fact that Asos also has amazing deals, I will post a pic of this dress that would be a cute topper over a swim suit but would also be amazing with some leggings underneath. It may not be your favorite but the point is that there are some super cute trendy things that come in all sizes and at amazing prices!
It also comes in white and blue stripe but it's for $25 not $15. Another cool thing about this site is that you can click on a button under the pic that says, "Click here to view catwalk" and you get to see how it moves and looks on someone on the runway...so cool! I'm gonna ALT F4 you

The results are in...yesterday was crazy busy waaaay crazier than Monday.
But I did try Ollie's Tasty Tuesday recipe, because:
A. I had ZERO ideas for dinner and ZERO time to cook it in
B. I actually had all of the ingredients (that's a revelation!)
So I tired it, I did it exactly how she does it, cut up the chicken and made tacos. It was delicious and very healthy! I didn't have a lot of time to eat b/c I had to get gas in my sweet ride and pick up my mom for our first Quilting Class!!!
Very exciting. With the new Relief Society quarterly meetings our ward has a lot of side classes/groups you can meet with throughout the year, one of them being a quilting class. They just started an evening class and I was so excited and so was my mom, she's been wanting to learn to quilt for a very long time now.
Anyway, we got the "blue prints" to our first project. I'm very excited to get started. I'm actually going to try and get it done for Elle's birthday, yay me!

In other news Eva had three playdates yesterday two of which were at my house...one was completely un-planned (in a good way, I was doing my neighborly duty) and in the midst of all the chaos I forgot to pack an extra pair of clothes for Elle in her diaper bag and of course she had weird poo and leaked on her pants...so she was the pants less kid in baby class yesterday, awesome.

And in more other news I'm getting an elliptical today!!! I waited and watched craigslist with vigor and passion for the past few weeks and held out and found the best machine with the best deal ever! So after Eva's swim lessons I'm meeting up with my dad and Jeremy and I'll show them where to go and I will soon be getting sexy for summer and onto December so I can actually have the desire to be in all of the pictures at Disneyland. Go me.

The title of this post is reference to a clip I watched on BestWeekEver.TV for. "My Dad's Better Than Your Dad." = I'm gonna shut you down. Holla back all you computer nerds.

Just for the record...

..I totally don't like kids. Kids don't really like me either...and I'm ok with that. I can't stand kids...and situations that I have to be around children make me think about taking a sedative and wearing ear plugs. I hate birthday parties, I don't ever want to have a party at my own house...doing that 4th birthday party for Eva (in the clubhouse) was bad enough but I would never have children enter my home (with the exception of Eva's 8th birthday, which yes, I already have planned out). Poor Eva always wants to have friends over but:
1. Usually my house is not clean enough for people to enter it
2. Depending on what child it is..it usually means that I actually have to like..watch the kids and I really don't like that.
Some kids are sweet and gentle but there are not that many sweet, kind, gentle kids...to be honest I'm talking mostly about boys because Eva has no girl friends. I base everything I'm saying mostly on little boys.
Tomorrow Eva is having a "friend" come over, I use that term loosely because I think they may be in the same sunbeam class but they do not really hang out...he just turned 3 a few months back and in kids terms they are light years away from each other. One of the main reasons I decided to ok this playdate is because this kid likes me. A lot. He cuddles with me and wants me to hold his hand, he gets into my lap. This kids LOVES ME! Even his dad said he doesn't usually act like that...so I asked him if he wanted to come over this week to our house to play, he said: "I'll go to your house, will you be there?"
I said, "Yes and Eva will be there too to play with"
"If you are there I want to be there"
Sooooo cute. I think I like this kid. But, he's the only one. All the other ones make me want to go on Prozac.

Monday-
Shop for birthday present for party at 12pm
Find princess outfit for Eva for the b-day party
Call Heather so she can do Eva's hair for princess party
Call Shannon to borrow princess dress for Eva
Get Eva ready...find my own outfit b/c Shannon is not home...yay I found something.
1:30-feed Elle, put Elle down for nap, make lunch
2:30-Get ready for swim lessons
3pm-Get in car and go to swim lessons.
-try not to fall asleep in the warm aquatic center-
4:30-start to clean up kitchen so I can start to think of something for dinner.
Tuesday-
11am-Cameron's coming over till 1pm
1pm-Get ready to go to Elle's baby class and bring Eva over to Heathers
Wednesday-
11:30am-leave to go to Elle's first Baby Sign Language class
-meet Jeremy at school so he can take Eva on a lunch date
12:50-BSL is over and get Eva from Jeremy and go home
2:45-Get Eva ready for swim
3pm-Go to swim
4:30-come home and figure out dinner.
Thursday-
Maybe nothing...maybe shop for b-day present for Eva's friend for party on Friday
Friday- Party at...I don't remember right now I think 1pm.

I live in the most bi-polar state...ever.

Withing 5 minutes it was sunny long enough that the ground was starting to dry...I decided to get Elle dressed to bring her out for a little bit...as I turned to get her I looked out the window one more time...it was snowing, heavily...they were small flakes but it was still snow. Then it turned dark and grey, it started to monsoon and then it stopped and the sun came out...like none of that other stuff just happened. This all went down in 5 minutes. Seriously, bi-polar weather.

Fantasy Friday: Whatevs

That's my new slang word for whatever...it's so going to catch on. Trust me, I totally invent words all the time and it's hot.

So I started last night grabbing up images of things that caught my eye. I didn't really go for a theme...maybe I should start going with a theme...we'll see, it may make it easier. So if any of you have suggestions of things you'd like to see, feel free to leave me suggestions in the comments. I'm also showing some things that I've had in my little folder forever and I've just been waiting for the right time/theme to show them...so I'm showing them now...they are both shoes and there's actually just two things I've been holding onto forever.

Onward:

The first is the Betsey Johnson shoe. I think we're all aware that I love her and I love (most) of her shoes and these shoes named, "Chip" make me happy. They make me have hope that someday the sun will come out for longer the 45 seconds and that all will be right with Spring. Chip is $190 but I've held onto these for so long who knows...maybe they're on sale somewhere in cyber world. Thank you Chip...you've pulled me throw some rainy days.

Next up is this great circle skirt...I just realized my first three items are all polka dots...there's your theme...for the first three. Anyway, my friend Jessica let me in on a little secret...called Down East Basics. They have modest cute clothes and I really love this skirt, it's got the nautical colors and big buttons, this could be a trend anyone could pull off because it's not too severe. I love the pleating and it looks like it would move very well too. This little Maritime skirt is $24.99, it also comes in green with smaller polka dots.

I really want this shirt. It is adorable. It comes in this great yellow (which is my favorite) and also in navy (very nautical looking) I chose to show this color because you can see the polka dots really well. It's completely sheer so you'd have to have a great white undershirt with it...I think we all know which undershirt is my fave. This shirt will look amazing with a skirt for church and dark denim. Loves it! The Bella Top is $22.99.

I thought these shoes were beautifully made, I love the flowers and the shape of the sandal is very popular right now. This is the Prada flower flat and it's $590. Yes, $590.

I thought I would show another high end look that you can find somewhere else cheaper. This is a Diane von Furstenburg skirt, entitled, "Neon" and it's $275. Now I really love her clothes and if I was rich I would buy her clothes because her story is amazing and she makes things that look beautiful on women. The Neon skirt is of course following suit with the nautical trend (it also comes in red). It's cute I like it but it should be said that not everyone will feel comfortable pulling it off. I don't think I would wear it but that's because it would accentuate my negatives...if I were thinner I might buy a piece like this, with these buttons and what not. The point again, ask a girlfriend before you buy or go out in public (note: it must be someone you trust and that will tell you the truth).

So here is my knock-off. Again, from Old Navy this "Sailor Pencil" is on sale for $19.99. I would also like to add that Old Navy has things (this skirt included) that are only available online, which is kind of cool because you could purchase something that not a lot of people have. At least not people in your town. This skirt also comes in a lighter antique denim.

I really love this dress. So cute with a white shirt under and with some leggings. Adorable. You could do a lot with this dress...use your imagination. And the best part? If you fit into sizes XS-L this baby is only $19.80 online at Forever21. Awesome!! I of course do not fit into that category but I thought, why deprive my skinnier friends from a cute dress that's such a great deal! This is the Rebecca Denim Dress.

Now I went from polka dots to denim and now I've reached my totally random stuff. I loved this cashmere hoodie, totally cute, right? You can buy it if you have $180. That's right, who in there right mind would spend $180 on something your child will grow out of in 3 months or less.

Just for the record I saw a tie that looked exactly like this at TJ Maxx for $12.99, that's right, a pretty decent deal on a name brand tie. Of course if you want to buy this name brand, Kiton, it will be $235...FOR A TIE! You must really love you daddy to get this.

I chose this umbrella because it keeps pouring outside. It will be sunny for .5 minutes and then the rain starts pounding against my window. I of course do not own an umbrella because I am a true Oregonian. I think there might be a broken one on our porch...not the point. This pretty umbrella is $145! Ouch...I think I'd go without. Or I'd go to Wal-Mart and they have $1 umbrellas at the check out line...hmm, such difficult decisions.

This necklace caught my eye right away. It's breathtaking. It's a shaker necklace, which I thought was pretty cool. It's designed by Renee Lewis and in this necklace is rubys and sapphires. She also has others with different jewels, like blue sapphires, black diamonds and regular diamonds. I thought this one was just so pretty and colorful for spring. Now if only I could convince my husband to get a loan for $19,000 I can totally rock it out. Or maybe I just wont buy it at all. I bet I could make my own with rhinestones.

Last but not least I've held onto this shoe for several months. I've been thinking where does this shoe fit in? I have to have a reason to post such a crazy shoe. Her name is Mad Mary...very great naming. She's made by Christian Louboutin and his shoes have been made very famous by many stars...namely Christina Aguliera. I decided today was the day I would share Mad Mary because all I want to do is strap her on and kick my foot up a rain clouds bum! Maybe that will help encourage them to go away and the Spring sunshine can finally come. The End.
