A little update of the girls
Eva's new BFF is our flat screen. She loves it. She loves that it's big. She loves that it's on the wall. She loves the flat screen...not as much as Jeremy but it's pretty close.
Elle just loves to get her picture taken. Can you believe how big she's getting? She's a real life little girl, she's almost two!! I feel like she's just so tiny though...probably because at this age Eva was wearing 3T clothes and Elle is still in 18 month/24 month things but she's actually taller than a lot of kids her age...which blows my mind...Eva really must have been a giant. Anyway, back to Elle, she's hilarious, she always makes me laugh, she's very smart, she understands everything that's going on around her. She talks...a lot, not always human words but I can mostly understand everything she says.
She knows a lot of animal sounds and she can pretty much repeat anything you say. She prides her self in the fact that she is multi-lingual when it comes to saying "Hi" she can say Hello in Chinese, French and Spanish. Not only is she super adorable but she's also a pain in my you-know-what. She throws full body tantrums in public and I'm not really sure how to handle it. Eva never did this, this is a whole new thing for me...she does exactly what you think a tantrum is, like something they show on TV or in the movies...the type of tantrum that when you see other kids doing it you can't not roll your eyes in disgust...that is Elle. Suggestions can be left in the comment box below.
Yay for sisters! These two get a long pretty well. Elle is IN LOVE with Eva and wants to do pretty much whatever Eva is doing and she copies everything she does too. Luckily Eva doesn't find it annoying yet and she loves having her sister tag along with her.

A Crappy Morning- no really.
Eh hem, I am not a morning person. I have recently realized that I do not like to wake up...I am very sensitive to sounds when I'm woken up and the fact that I'm semi-sick right now and in the morning I can hardly talk without gagging on my own mucus curdled-snot coated throat does not make this "waking up" time any easier on me.
Since in a few months Eva will be an official elementary-schooler I will thus have to wake up and get her to school on time.
So I thought to myself, Self what can you do to make this easier? I know Self, wake up before everyone else so you have time to adjust so you aren't a beast and so you don't threaten bodily harm to your sweet children that are just being their age. But then I said, Seeellllfff, you seem to forget that with stupid day light savings your sweet little daughters are getting up at the most ridiculous time of morning and there's no way in you-know-what that you are getting up before that. SOLUTION: make some curtains that are so thick it will looks like you are in a cave, a deep dark cave that you can never leave. I will be going to a fabric store today...please oh please let this work...
Back to my "crappy" morning. So this morning begins like any other, the girls are wide awake at 7:40am (I'm sorry if this offends anyone who thinks that this isn't early...I don't care, my darling daughters have been sleeping till 8:30am sometimes 9am...7:40am feels like 3am to me), this is when Eva comes running into my room to inform me that "Elle pooped!" In our house this means I have a limited amount of time to change said diaper until Elle decides to explore it further by digging into it and feeling it's lovely warm texture which then equals me having to clean everything she has possibly touched and her and draw her a bath...it makes for a long hour instead of a 6 minute diaper change.
SO- I almost jump out of bed...(as best I could) and Elle comes running in, note: I can't really see...I may have to pee and the reason I can't see is because the sun is barely out and it IS STILL DARK. I promptly grab Elle's hands to see if I'm too late...odd, they don't appear to have poo on them but they stink like poo...so I'm already mad that I missed my window of opportunity...if I had only known what was waiting for me...I would have probably just gone back to bed.
I grab a hair tie for myself and quickly bring Elle to her changing pad...oh the horror.
Not only is it a nasty all night pee diaper for some unknown reason this "poo" has not made it in the diaper...perhaps Elle was sleeping weird, or maybe she was trying a new way to poo, but this poo was all over the outside of her diaper...all the way down her left leg and in her toes. WHAT?! Like...what really happened? The entire bottom half of her pj's is soaked in urine...What did this kid drink last night? A two liter? What did she eat? A vat of grease?
As I was cleaning her up to bring her to the bath I thought to myself, Self laundry is going to suck today...then I thought, seelllfff doesn't she have enough pj's? Does this one set really make or brake the bank...the answer no, no it does not. I neatly folded the diaper and jammies together and threw them away..in their own separate bag...I can still smell it.
Life Lesson#632: When life hands you diarrhea soaked with urine and a touch of insanity...save yourself the trouble and throw it in the garbage.
Don't worry I totally took pictures...you are soooo welcome.

THE Bun-Hawk
Thanks to my friend Jennifer I discovered one of my new favorite blogs, HERE. It's called Adopt a 'Do Cute Girls Hairstyles. Not only are there pictures for every step, she also gives you the tools needed and a timeline for how long it will take.

She was SO happy, she loves things like this, like funky stuff...which I appreciate, Elle is my girly girl and some day she will grow hair and I will be filled with plenty of bows, sparkles and pink. For now I appreciate Eva's unique style.
And one of Elle- Elle can't not get her picture taken...it's in her blood.
Now I think we all know that Eva 1. does not like it when I touch her hair and 2.does not like it when I touch her hair.
So even though I was so excited for this site, I thought the probability of me getting to do any of the styles was low...very low.
So I thought to mylsef, "Self, if you show this blog to Eva she will totally want to do something with her hair and get excited about having hair in the first place!" So I did. And the hairstyle I wanted to do Bundled Braids was totally out of the question once she saw The Bun-Hawk. Which is fine, I'll try to do bundled braids for church. So I got everything ready while she was in the shower this morning and we attempted the Bun-hawk.
---sidenote---
I suck at doing hair, on a scale of 1-10 I'm around a negative 5...ponytail yes, occasional braid, sure but that's about as far as my talent goes. I was not only thrilled that I was doing my daughters hair I was THRILLED that she was letting me do her hair, she didn't complain once! It was a small Christmas Miracle.----
Here is our morning accomplishment...I think I may have graduated to real mom status, p.s. I'm not sure why the pics are so dark, sorry/deal with it:

You're Welcome
Also you may not to watch this around young children..it's not dirty but it's probably not appropriate for the 6-12 age bracket. Again, I hope you enjoy these guys as much as I do...Jemaine is hil-ar-ious in this video.

Things to do...
I never really posted all the pictures from our trip...I'm hoping that I can throw some pics on here periodically from the trip but as for now I figure I should just update on what we've been up to:
Me:
Me:
- new term at school
- taking a day time class
- which means I have to find someone to watch the girls
- Eva started 3 hour preschool
- which means I have to have all of us ready and out the door by 9:10am
- which also means I'm making a "hearty" breakfast and packing a lunch
- I'm the new YW laurels advisor
- which means I have mutual every week
- we did Dream Dinners this month and I'm pretty sure I'm a convert
- I've started working out every MT TH F and I'm hoping to be super hot by this summer, we'll see, I've already lost 5lbs
Eva
- started tap and ballet class every Monday afternoon, she only has two weeks left
- is now in level 5 in her swim lessons, she's half way through
- officially is in a top bunk of the new bunk bed she begged us for
- she originally asked for a baby brother or a bunk bed, we went with the latter.
- may be a future song writer, she's constantly making up lyrics to her own songs and they're not half bad.
- is only 7 months away from becoming a kindergartner. yikes, I think I'm going to have panic attacks starting this summer
Elle
- is no longer sleeping in a crib, she went strait to a twin bed and is of course on the bottom bunk
- I couldn't be in the room when Jeremy took down the crib...it's really sad that she's not a baby anymore
- continues to make us laugh everyday
- has a tendency to throw fits that are exactly what you picture a toddler doing...you know, those kids that make you roll your eyes and you say your kid will never do that...welcome to my life
- is a friend to the potty chair, I decided to give potty training a go after this term is over...knowing Elle she's either going to do it or she's not
- understands everything we say, it's actually really nice, she's just starting time outs and she can also tell us almost anything that's on her mind
Jeremy
- is working, working, working
- (I believe) enjoys having a little bit of work stress constantly, he technically has like 3 jobs that he's doing
- has started "training" for his upcoming make believe fight, because there is no way I'm letting him take a fight...he can totally use his imagination
- got a new TV with his tax return money, he pretty much has a perpetual smile on his face
- took a 6 week break off of his online university but we'll be starting up again in March, it's really intense, it's 6 weeks of 20 credits
- will be taking a test in Eugene next week to have a bunch of letters follow his name, he's not here so I can't ask him but it's something along the lines of C A PM Pm AOL LOL something like that...I'm pretty sure it means that he makes more money, holla!
We've just been spinning and spinning our wheels. I feel like I don't have time for anything.
We're also reorganizing our house so we made a very fun trip to Ikea last week and came back with a lot of thing that have already been very helpful in making our house a cleaner and nicer place to be. I recently cam to the conclusion that if you want to organize your house you have to put money into it, it's expensive but well worth living in a place that makes you smile.

Day 5 Eva's B-day: Characters and Lunch @ Cinderella's.
Right after Eva was done at the Boutique Cinderella's Fairy Godmother was right outside the castle so took our picture with her...how fitting, right after she was made a princess.
This lady was admiring Eva and how pretty she looked. We were all waiting for Toontown to open so we could get meet some of the fairy's from pixie hollow and some princesses. I heard that the line for the fairy's is over three hours so we got there right when it opened.

Eva with Iridessa. She was awesome, I thought she did the best job out of all the fairies.
Tinkerbell. She was weird. Like maybe she just downed 5 cups of coffee and too some Ridilin. Eva loves meeting her though she was so excited to see all of the fairies.
And Fawn, she was beautiful!
Ahh, Princess Aurora/Briar Rose/Sleeping Beauty. We dubbed her the "Cybil" of the princess world on our trip.

Finally meeting Cinderella.

Going to Minnie's.
Making popcorn- Eva thought that was pretty cool, for those of you who don't know, Eva's mildly addicted to popcorn, she asks for it around twice a day.
Too sunny...in January, crazy huh?!

You can just see in Elle's face that she is so in love with Eva, she looks up to her so much, Elle thought Eva was a beautiful princess.

Waiting for our reservation time.

So, Eva asked me if I wanted her autograph, and since she was a princess now I told her of course I wanted her autograph.

Then she posed with me for a picture...what a good princess.

Sitting down at Cinderella's for lunch.

Eva took this pic, pretty good, right?

Eva and Snow. P.S. you have to look at Elle in all these pictures, I love that she could A. careless and B. that she's totally oblivious.

Belle

Sleeping Beauty

Jasmine.

Making their wishes.

Check out the chocolate crown in the ice cream, how cute is that? And it was good.

My official 5 year old daughter.

I love her face looking at Elle. So excited and happy.

They and by they I mean my dad, complained that they didn't get any swords, that they were "boys" too, so our waitress brought them some...oh boy.
Eva's pose with the armor.
Mary Poppins.
Pinocchio

This is on the bus back to our hotel. We hung out most of the afternoon and rested. Later that night, me, Jeremy, my dad and Eva went back to the Magic Kingdom for the Extra Magical hours, in 2 and a half hours we went on 7 rides, it was super fun and I will never forget that night with Eva, she had the best time and I loved experiencing it with her.
