Eva's St.Patricks Day Photo Shoot

I only kept this picture because you can see my new curtains in the background, don't you love them? I do, this is my first time with curtains and I love them.

Hands down my favorite picture of the afternoon.

Where or where has my little baby gone, oh where or where can she be?

Are you joking me with these eyes??

This is what happens if you bring out a camera anywhere near Elle. She starts saying "cheese" and pretty much doesn't stop till you put the camera away.

Happy Saint Patricks Day

Sooo, I was thinking to myself...what is St. Patricks day? Like, who invented this and why? Anyway, I actually don't care but if you feel the need to educate me in the comment section, feel free.

I don't know about everyone else's kids but my sweet little daughter Eva is not adjusting to the time change. She can not get up in the mornings, all she does is complain and roll over, this from my kid that was getting up at 7am (sometimes before) and waited (sometimes hours) before anyone else got up...how could this effect her so much? And why is she not over it yet?

Needless to say we were running super late this morning...BUT I did manage to do the one thing that I wanted to today and that was a Lucky Do 4-Leaf Clover hairstyle! I didn't have time to take a picture of it before we left, so this is 3-hours-of-preschool-old-hair but you can still get the idea. Mine didn't turn out quite like the demo, but I started it right when we would normally be leaving for school so, it was definitely rushed.

Eva (and by Eva I mean me) got tons of compliments on it at school, the teachers were all so impressed! Trust me I let them know I could hardly braid and I sang the praises of Mindy who makes it sooo easy to do, even for a novice like me!

Am I magic? You tell me...

You may be thinking to yourself, "How does she do it?" How can this lowly mother of 2 keep the attention of 5 children and her husband? What could she possibly be doing that mesmerize them all? A one woman play? The best magic show on earth? I will admit, the pizza and capri suns help... ...

All right, it has nothing to do with me...thank you tax return, thank you so very much.

Cute Girls Hairstyles

Just a little FYI- we (Eva and I) did a very quick rendition of Bundled Braids on Sunday- I say very quick because A. Even though we remembered about the time change we did not get up on time. and B. We were a half hour late for church- so it couldn't live up to all it's braided wonderfulness. This Sunday we will try it again and I will get pictures to share my extreme joy that I finally get to do my little girls hair- and it doesn't suck!
ALSO there's a giveaway at Cute Girls Hairstyles and I never win anything so this was my chance to share about my new fav blog, again.

A little update of the girls

Eva's new BFF is our flat screen. She loves it. She loves that it's big. She loves that it's on the wall. She loves the flat screen...not as much as Jeremy but it's pretty close.

Elle just loves to get her picture taken. Can you believe how big she's getting? She's a real life little girl, she's almost two!! I feel like she's just so tiny though...probably because at this age Eva was wearing 3T clothes and Elle is still in 18 month/24 month things but she's actually taller than a lot of kids her age...which blows my mind...Eva really must have been a giant. Anyway, back to Elle, she's hilarious, she always makes me laugh, she's very smart, she understands everything that's going on around her. She talks...a lot, not always human words but I can mostly understand everything she says. She knows a lot of animal sounds and she can pretty much repeat anything you say. She prides her self in the fact that she is multi-lingual when it comes to saying "Hi" she can say Hello in Chinese, French and Spanish. Not only is she super adorable but she's also a pain in my you-know-what. She throws full body tantrums in public and I'm not really sure how to handle it. Eva never did this, this is a whole new thing for me...she does exactly what you think a tantrum is, like something they show on TV or in the movies...the type of tantrum that when you see other kids doing it you can't not roll your eyes in disgust...that is Elle. Suggestions can be left in the comment box below. Yay for sisters! These two get a long pretty well. Elle is IN LOVE with Eva and wants to do pretty much whatever Eva is doing and she copies everything she does too. Luckily Eva doesn't find it annoying yet and she loves having her sister tag along with her.

A Crappy Morning- no really.

Eh hem, I am not a morning person. I have recently realized that I do not like to wake up...I am very sensitive to sounds when I'm woken up and the fact that I'm semi-sick right now and in the morning I can hardly talk without gagging on my own mucus curdled-snot coated throat does not make this "waking up" time any easier on me.

Since in a few months Eva will be an official elementary-schooler I will thus have to wake up and get her to school on time.

So I thought to myself, Self what can you do to make this easier? I know Self, wake up before everyone else so you have time to adjust so you aren't a beast and so you don't threaten bodily harm to your sweet children that are just being their age. But then I said, Seeellllfff, you seem to forget that with stupid day light savings your sweet little daughters are getting up at the most ridiculous time of morning and there's no way in you-know-what that you are getting up before that. SOLUTION: make some curtains that are so thick it will looks like you are in a cave, a deep dark cave that you can never leave. I will be going to a fabric store today...please oh please let this work...

Back to my "crappy" morning. So this morning begins like any other, the girls are wide awake at 7:40am (I'm sorry if this offends anyone who thinks that this isn't early...I don't care, my darling daughters have been sleeping till 8:30am sometimes 9am...7:40am feels like 3am to me), this is when Eva comes running into my room to inform me that "Elle pooped!" In our house this means I have a limited amount of time to change said diaper until Elle decides to explore it further by digging into it and feeling it's lovely warm texture which then equals me having to clean everything she has possibly touched and her and draw her a bath...it makes for a long hour instead of a 6 minute diaper change.
SO- I almost jump out of bed...(as best I could) and Elle comes running in, note: I can't really see...I may have to pee and the reason I can't see is because the sun is barely out and it IS STILL DARK. I promptly grab Elle's hands to see if I'm too late...odd, they don't appear to have poo on them but they stink like poo...so I'm already mad that I missed my window of opportunity...if I had only known what was waiting for me...I would have probably just gone back to bed.

I grab a hair tie for myself and quickly bring Elle to her changing pad...oh the horror.

Not only is it a nasty all night pee diaper for some unknown reason this "poo" has not made it in the diaper...perhaps Elle was sleeping weird, or maybe she was trying a new way to poo, but this poo was all over the outside of her diaper...all the way down her left leg and in her toes. WHAT?! Like...what really happened? The entire bottom half of her pj's is soaked in urine...What did this kid drink last night? A two liter? What did she eat? A vat of grease?
As I was cleaning her up to bring her to the bath I thought to myself, Self laundry is going to suck today...then I thought, seelllfff doesn't she have enough pj's? Does this one set really make or brake the bank...the answer no, no it does not. I neatly folded the diaper and jammies together and threw them away..in their own separate bag...I can still smell it.

Life Lesson#632: When life hands you diarrhea soaked with urine and a touch of insanity...save yourself the trouble and throw it in the garbage.

Don't worry I totally took pictures...you are soooo welcome.
