THANKSGIVING 2010

I should have taken pictures at the movie theater! Duh! That was our "big" new tradition this year. We went to see Megamind around 5pm on thanksgiving, the girls had a blast.
Anyway, back to the food:
Here are the girls enjoying some pre-dinner appetizers. Elle ate most of the olives in about 5 minutes. I made the famous cheeseball and i made waaaay too much! Not that anyone's complaining.
Here's Jeremy cutting the bird. I tried to find the most embarrassing photo of him...done.
We got three different kinds of sparkling cider! This one is mango apple, it was a hit! I must admit it was really good, perfectly sweet.
I was too lazy to find the tripod so we went with individual shots.
I got this giant gingerbread man from Trader Joe's, I thought the girls would have some fun decorating it. And they did...almost as much fun as they had eating it.

I also forgot to add in Eva's adorable snowman from our snowfall the other day. She made the cutest, littlest snowman ever with our neighbor, they are the same age...cute little girls.
It had already melted a little at this point, she sat it right by our front door! So cute.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This is our first Thanksgiving as a family with kids...alone! Gasp! We're actually excited about it.
As much as I wish we were with tons of family to play games, sing and watch movies we're starting our own traditions today. We'll be going to the movies together to go see Megamind (the girls are REALLY excited) and we've made all the appetizers and sides that we like to have on Thanksgiving!
Here are some pics from the little snowfall we had the other day, no school!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It's a...

baby.
That's right, we didn't find out. It's just not as fun...and Jeremy said we only have 20 more weeks (or less hopefully) till this baby comes and then we'll know no matter what!
Here are out ultrasound pics we came home with. The best part was seeing the baby doing the cutest little yawn...it was nap time for him/her and the tech was really trying to get a better profile shot...which was really, really uncomfortable and I just didn't care that much. I can see it has all his/her toes and fingers blah, blah, stop pushing my baby all over my guts and on my bladder!
He was a nice tech but 45 minutes of an ultrasound is long!

Elle had a fairly good time. She loved seeing the heartbeat best, she tried jumping up and down with the beat.
All and all it was a good day and I'm ready for bed!

Naming Baby #3

Here are the choices so far:

Eva's Choices:
Boy: Jaxper
Girl: Sara

Elle's Choices:
Boy: Spiderman
Girl: Omodettah

Jeremy's Choices:
Boy: ??
Girl: ??

Christa's Choices:
Boy: ??
Girl: ??

Hopefully by the time this baby is ready to come we have a better idea of a name...or else expect a birth announcement for Spiderman Brower or ???? Brower if it's a girl.
Yikes. Naming is hard the third time around. Any suggestions friends??

Our little Diva

These are mostly for grandparents so don't feel obligated to watch all 20 minutes unless Elle calls you Grandma...

This one is really long and in between little performances Elle does hit her BFF Maya...it's a sisterly love these two have!

Unfortunately Elle seemed to do everything NOT to face the camera so a lot of these are just her back but she has really enjoyed ballet and tap class. She is definitely a performer and I see a little thespian budding in our home.

Just some crap...

Yesterday Elle and I went to the park to kill some time before Jeremy got home.
She likes to inch herself around the playground by holding on just to the fence and tip toeing on the cement slab. On the fence there were a few cobwebs and other stuff like that.
She got some of a web on her hand and said:
Elle: "Mommy there's a spider crawling all over me!"
Me: "No it's just a web, brush it off, there's no spider."
Elle: "Oh. So it's just crap?"

She makes me smile and laugh so hard. I love her to death!

Today Eva came home from school and she said she had the best day ever.
I of course was very interested in what "the best day ever" consisted of to a first grader.
She told me all about how the learned about cavemen today and how they used mammoth bones as musical instruments and she learned all about how they made their own tools.
I've got to say, I'm really impressed. She couldn't wait to go outside and tell her friends all about it.
She is growing up so much and I am so happy that she's liking school!! Kindergarten was a nightmare and I honestly thought about homeschooling but 1st grade is everything she's needed. And I LOVE the teacher. She's no non-sense and to the point and gives the kids a lot of responsibility and that is exactly what Eva needs.

Jeremy's officially graduated! He has two classes he has to take next 6 week term and then he's done!! He couldn't be more thrilled. Our next plan after that is this RHIA thing (I have no idea what it is or if it's even RHIA maybe it's RHIT, I again, have no clue). All I know is that no one where he works has this title and his boss said he should go for it and he would be very valued at work. So he's applying to places in January (only 9 places have programs) and hopefully he gets in.

And I was going to put together something really cute to announce that we're pregnant with baby #3 but I don't feel like it. I'll get around to it...maybe this weekend. But I kind of mentioned maternity clothes on my style blog so I figure I kind of ruined the element of surprise for this blog. So anyway, I'm pregnant.

I'll try and get some pics up this weekend.
