Fantasy Friday: Oh September how I long for thy TV

Happy Friday everyone; as an ode to August 1st I would like to start talking about September...don't you love how our culture does that? I actually hate it, like why can't I buy things for Valentines Day in February...I have till the 14th, right?

An ode to the Fall lineup...and some shoes that I think go with a few of my favorite TV shows...trust me I have many, many, many more.

Onward:I would LOVE IT if Pam rocked out some hot Oxfords. Like, bring a little sexy back to the office. It's flirting with Jim without saying a word. You know he'd be giving the camera those classic "Jim looks" if Pam rocked these hot office heels. This is Steve Madden $100.Another look I'd like to see Pam in is a pair of office appropriate statement heels. Obviously you can't wear anything too "loud" in an office setting but you can wear a heel that has a "WOW" factor. Like these Calvin Klein patent bordeaux pumps. Beautifully rich, and such a hot fall color. These are notice me without screaming it. $89.I love Medium. I don't know how many people actually watch this show but I totally love it. The plots could be a little better, I'm hoping for more twists this fall season but I love the dynamic of the family. They are completely realistic. I love Allison and Joe's relationship, they are how an actual couple is together, not all laughs and gags, they fight and it's real. Plus I totally love Bridgette (the one on the ground) she's SO funny by just being her cute little pudgy self...her look in this pic says it all. So for some background, Allison works in the DA's office so her looks is office too, by mostly mom friendly.
Sooo, these are the kind of shoes Allison would wear to work and to be "dressy" comfy but dressy. I have nothing against these shoes, they are cute and they are functional and they get the job done...for being shoes. But there's no personality in them. These are Indigo by Clark $90. p.s. if I saw you in these I would not judge, they are cute and I'm sure very comfy...plus the pleated detail is pretty cool.
This is the kind of shoe that I would like to see Allison in. Like a super hot mama shoe. It's like the CK's above (a dramatic color) but a bit more va-va-voom. Me gusta. These are by Max Studio $165.
I've been a die hard since day one. That's right people day ONE! I would love to see Sun and Kate rocking some J-41's. All cute and Junglely $89. But as this wouldn't be that surprising to see on Lost, is the reasoning I went with my second Lost choice.
Some super comfy super trendy moccasins. This would be awesome. Of course now that they are off the island I'm hoping to see some more fashion...it wont happen and it totally wouldn't be Lost with fashion but I can make it up in my head. Lily Pulitzer $255.
Ahh Grey's. I'm sorry but I love it. Again, a show that I've been with from the very first titillating episode. So there's mostly hospital mixed in with social settings. You don't see a lot of footwear. But I would love to see Callie rock out like a butch sexy lady look. These gladiators by Charles David would be AMAZING. The colors are beautiful and I want to hug them close. $215.

Unfortunately for me, the Professional Crocs are likely what the Doc's and Grey's are wearing, ;(
$35.

Au Revoir. Happy Weekend, I will be:

possibly going to Borders for the Twilight mania

going to the Fair on Sat.

dying my hair

going to Kohls and getting some new clothes.

Yes I will take pics.

Barely There Hair

When Eva was a toddler I thought she had very sparse hair, of course I was grateful for how much she did have (especially compared to some kids) because I could put little clips in it and piggy tails but I always dreamed of the day when she would have more hair. Wow, I totally regret that now...her hair is the cause of constant agony in our house.
Then there's Elle. My sweet baby Elle, who had more or less no hair at all...at least compared to her sis at this age Elle is basically bald. Through the last few weeks I've noticed her hair getting thicker...mostly in the back, which makes this great mullet style come out...I'm totally joking, it's not cute at all. Then the other day I thought to myself, "Self, I bet you could put a little teeny tiny pony tail in that hair. So I did:
Tah-Duh.

Yay, clap for cute hair!!

Video Explanations

So the other day Elle was slamming our armoire doors and she thought it was so funny so I tried to get it on tape and she only did it right at first and then noticed my camera and so I just taped her just being her crazy self.
Then the other video is of Eva and her friend Jackson playing Mario Party, they had no idea I was taping them, they were just so cute all excited playing games and eating grapes.

Fantasy Saturday? Why not.

So yesterday was a but busier than I had anticipated. Although I had picked out all of the items on Thursday I had no time to put it together on Friday. So without further ado I'm spotlighting Alloy.com. They have a lot of what I would call "younger" clothing but a lot of it can work at any age (mostly they have an amazing collection of jeans from sizes 0-25!).
Example A: These trouser jeans have a great cut and they come in 5 different washes from sizes 0-25!! Seriously, I think it's amazing that you can get some trendy jeans at any size. You can get these on alloy.com they are by Truck jeans they are called their Berlin Trouser jeans and are around $40.

Next up is an amazing skinny jean that again is available in a bunch of washes from acid to indigo. I think when you get a dark washed skinny any size can pull it off. Especially with a great set of heels to go with it. These are a perfect date night jean. $39-44.

Love this lace inset blouse. It also comes in this super intense purple. There are a bunch of really cute blouses on Alloy and you should totally check them out. I though this one was kind of romantic looking and unique. $29-31.

Why attempt to get into Princeton when you can get this super cute hoodie that says you did. No one will no the wiser...well maybe they will but they will never confront you. I love fall hoodies, especially when they are cut close to the body like this one $37. Speaking of hoodies this one is unique, pretty and fun. There are a LARGE assortment of hoodies at alloy.com some of them pretty funky and generation Y but I think you can decipher which ones are "too young" for you. I like this one because it has these beautiful butterfly's all over plus I know Eva would think it was cool too. I'm all about clothes that your kids would like too, which leads me to my next clothing choice, (p.s. this butterfly hoodie is $39)There are tons of "old school" tees at alloy they call them graphic tees and there's anything from Barbie to TMNT. Eva would be so proud of me if I was wearing any of them. This Batman one is $26-28. (p.s the range in cost is due to the range in sizes)And last but not least is this totally hilarious shirt paying homage to the infamous mom jean. How much of a cool mom are you when you can laugh off the mom stereotype wearing this shirt with a hot skinny jean and some heels. $19

Have a great weekend.

blahhhh

Some weeks are so blah. This has been a very blah week. I don't think I've done the dishes all week, I know, you're completely shocked.
I went to the P-town library with the girls and I'm pretty sure I saw a pedophile.
I waited for my friend Heather to come home from her 3 week long vacay and promptly kept her awake till 1am.
I got a Shade shirt in the mail.
I have to send off something in the mail...I wanted to send it off the last week of June, when it was finished but alas, it's still sitting on top of my piano, right behind the music stand so I never seen it and forget that it's there. Hopefully it will get sent off before July is over.
I didn't nurse Elle at all yesterday to see if it could indeed be done. The precursor to this is that I want to go on a nice anniversary overnight trip and my mom said she would take the girls if Elle was off the boob. So I did a trial run, indeed she can go a full day and not even blink twice, which is slightly sad...my baby isn't a baby anymore.
Eva has peed in her pants for the 2nd day in a row b/c she "can't get her pants down fast enough" which would totally be valid if it was like a hook and eye latch or a real button but both times they were pull on shorts...tisk tisk Eva, you're getting too preoccupied by activities to remember to pee. To be 4 again.
I'm now going to work on my fantasy Friday because I haven't done one in weeks and it is waaaay past due.
