Happy Anniversary, Happy Anniversary!

That's right, Jeremy and I's anniversary was yesterday (the 17th) and we have been married for 6 years! Woo Hoo!

At the end of the month we are going on an overnight to celebrate and I am sooooo excited!

On Saturday my mom took us all out to the Japanese grill downtown, it was tons of fun and I had a great time. We put Elle down for a nap at 4:30pm so she wouldn't be cranky at dinner, she usually goes to bed at 7:30pm! The food was great, we tried some sushi for the first time and it was very good, Elle loved it too. Eva had a great time watching the show but was acting very shy. Eva also made us an anniversary gift (w/ help from my mom at the pottery shop downtown) she painted a "B" and put our initials on it, it was very cute and she was so proud.

These have been 6 crazy, wonderful, amazing years.

Year 1: SO MUCH FUN!! Being married is so much more fun than anything I ever imagined. We lived in the world's smallest apartment, we made amazing friends, we moved, went inactive for 3 months, moved again and for the last time until we left Idaho and were in one of the most amazing family wards we've ever been in.

Year 2: Pregnancy. Fun, new experiences trying to prepare to become parents. Eva Estelle was born on January 4th, 2004. I had never experienced pure joy and overwhelming love until that moment I saw her. We moved...again to Oregon this time. It was a hard move in the sense that I didn't know anyone and we just left the life that we created for ourselves. It was very depressing for a few months. Eva continued to amaze us with her intelligence and beauty. Luckily I made some friends with some amazing girls who have all since moved except for one but, they really helped me out of my rut.

Year 3: We celebrated our first Christmas as a little family and moved shortly after Christmas to Camas Commons, where we still live today. We made some new friends and enjoyed having our own space again! We had some great bonding years with Eva and we were able to really know her. Jeremy and I had our first overnight alone since Eva had been born, right after her first b-day. We had a great time at the coast.

Year 4: As we were closing in on 5 years I thought about how I "thought" 5 years of marriage would be or look like. I was waaaay off. I started to think about how this "struggling" time in our lives seems so hard and depressing but I know one day we'll look back on it and miss it in a way. It's nice to enjoy where we are in life instead of yearning for what the future holds. Also I potty trained Eva this year and it was THE hardest part of becoming a parent...by far the hardest thing I have ever done...seriously, waaay harder than labor. Now that Eva has been potty trained for a while we decided that it might be time for us to have another baby...ok that wasn't the main reason, we were ready for Eva to have a sibling and it was a hard time for me. Not pregnancy, that was easy, I love being pregnant, I could be 6 months pregnant forever. It was hard for me to know that I wouldn't be able to give Eva 100% of my attention anymore and I freaked out a bit.

Year 5: Here comes girl #2?!?! Everyone thought we were having a boy, including me, and I was surprised and very happy that it ended up being a girl! Yay, I know how to do that! It was a very good experience with Elle, Jeremy and I really bonded over the labor and delivery, Elle May was born on May 20th, 2007. Eva was a great big sister right from the start. Having two kids was VERY hard, I regretted it for the first two weeks. I didn't really become comfortable with it till Elle was about 10 months old.

Year 6: Ahh. We are at that comfortable place again with our kids. It's easier again, Jeremy is thriving at work and school. Eva's starting preschool this year and Elle is all toddler. I love Jeremy so much, I love where we are in our lives together, as much fun as the beginning butterflies were and the lustful kisses, I'm more in tune with Jeremy than I ever have been. He's an amazing husband and a wonderful father. And we had a great anniversary this year, I can not wait for our overnight trip at the end of the month!!

Whenever I say "You're Welcome" this is what plays in my mind.

Scheduling...is that how you spell it?

Recently I've decided to just make Dr's appointments whenever and then twist my schedule accordingly. Usually I try to schedule things around the 11:30am hour because then Jeremy's home for lunch and I can go without the girls. I made a ton of appointments like a month ago just thinking I could ask people to watch my kids. That's not really like me, I don't like asking people to watch my kids...Eva's easy but well...Elle's easy too but I think of her as much harder.
Anyway, tentative appt's for this week:
Tuesday: Eva dentist @12
Wednesday: 11:30am Chiropractor, 2pm Dr. appt.
Friday: 11am dentist for me, 4:30pm Massage.

I'm mostly worried about the 2pm appt. that may not even happen because my doc is on call that day. Anyway, I hate asking people to watch my kids...that's my actual point to all of this.
Also I have nothing exciting to share or document. You're welcome.

An af-FAIR to remember.

Anyway, we went to the fair on Saturday. We got there a little before 5pm and stayed till about 10pm. It's the latest Elle has ever stayed up...she was exhausted.

We had fun...Eva of course had the time of her life. We finally buckled this year and decided to get her a bracelet (bracelet = $25=unlimited rides). We had some hand-dipped corn dogs (yum-O), the girls got to see all the farm animals (that was Elle's favorite part) and one of my photos one 1st place!

Overall it was super fun and I'm excited to go next year...because Eva will talk about it till about next June. At least that's what she did last year.

Twilight "Party"

Sooo, for those of you who aren't avid readers of the Twilight Saga, the fourth and final book of the series came out Saturday which means that Borders had a "Twilight Party" to celebrate. Celebrate = get lots of $$ from 15 year old girls...in essence from their parents.
Anyway, I went with my friend Michelle and a group of her friends. It was interesting. I definitely was hopeing I wouldn't see anyone I knew. Luckily I didn't.
I was actually hopeing to see freaks but there isn't really anything you can dress up like...besides having creative t-shirts, which some people did have. Mostly I enjoyed walking around Borders without kids. I didn't even purchase a book because my wonderful mother ordered one for my like 2 months ago. It was still something fun to do. But nothing compared to the HP freaks.
And no I did not take any pics to document this night.

Fantasy Friday: Oh September how I long for thy TV

Happy Friday everyone; as an ode to August 1st I would like to start talking about September...don't you love how our culture does that? I actually hate it, like why can't I buy things for Valentines Day in February...I have till the 14th, right?

An ode to the Fall lineup...and some shoes that I think go with a few of my favorite TV shows...trust me I have many, many, many more.

Onward:I would LOVE IT if Pam rocked out some hot Oxfords. Like, bring a little sexy back to the office. It's flirting with Jim without saying a word. You know he'd be giving the camera those classic "Jim looks" if Pam rocked these hot office heels. This is Steve Madden $100.Another look I'd like to see Pam in is a pair of office appropriate statement heels. Obviously you can't wear anything too "loud" in an office setting but you can wear a heel that has a "WOW" factor. Like these Calvin Klein patent bordeaux pumps. Beautifully rich, and such a hot fall color. These are notice me without screaming it. $89.I love Medium. I don't know how many people actually watch this show but I totally love it. The plots could be a little better, I'm hoping for more twists this fall season but I love the dynamic of the family. They are completely realistic. I love Allison and Joe's relationship, they are how an actual couple is together, not all laughs and gags, they fight and it's real. Plus I totally love Bridgette (the one on the ground) she's SO funny by just being her cute little pudgy self...her look in this pic says it all. So for some background, Allison works in the DA's office so her looks is office too, by mostly mom friendly.

Sooo, these are the kind of shoes Allison would wear to work and to be "dressy" comfy but dressy. I have nothing against these shoes, they are cute and they are functional and they get the job done...for being shoes. But there's no personality in them. These are Indigo by Clark $90. p.s. if I saw you in these I would not judge, they are cute and I'm sure very comfy...plus the pleated detail is pretty cool.

This is the kind of shoe that I would like to see Allison in. Like a super hot mama shoe. It's like the CK's above (a dramatic color) but a bit more va-va-voom. Me gusta. These are by Max Studio $165.

I've been a die hard since day one. That's right people day ONE! I would love to see Sun and Kate rocking some J-41's. All cute and Junglely $89. But as this wouldn't be that surprising to see on Lost, is the reasoning I went with my second Lost choice.

Some super comfy super trendy moccasins. This would be awesome. Of course now that they are off the island I'm hoping to see some more fashion...it wont happen and it totally wouldn't be Lost with fashion but I can make it up in my head. Lily Pulitzer $255.
Ahh Grey's. I'm sorry but I love it. Again, a show that I've been with from the very first titillating episode. So there's mostly hospital mixed in with social settings. You don't see a lot of footwear. But I would love to see Callie rock out like a butch sexy lady look. These gladiators by Charles David would be AMAZING. The colors are beautiful and I want to hug them close. $215.

Unfortunately for me, the Professional Crocs are likely what the Doc's and Grey's are wearing, ;(
